Is dark energy/matter the device that God used to "stretch out the heavens"?

Many passages in the Bible refer to God "stretching out the heavens" "like a curtain"
Anyone have any theories or explanations that might offer insight to this? Interesting that 96 percent of the universe is a mystery to us.

God is ‘stretching out the heavens like a curtain’ is not a poetic expression. It is a proven fact that the universe is expanding with every passing moments and NASA has expressed that no machine or horoscope can be invented to see beyond the universe because of the expansion speed.

On the other hand a major portion of the universe is comprised of dark energy and matter. An interesting fact was first explored by Einstein’s with his famous theorem of E=mc (square) which proves that energy and mass are interchangeable. The fact is further elaborated with the use of Hubble Space Telescope. But the most interesting fact is that ‘sum of all energy in the universe is zero’.

What does it mean?

When every piece of mass is converted into energy, the sum is still zero, nothingness. The stars, the earth, the skies, the heavens, you, me and Yahoo are all equal to zero nothingness in the real sense of things.

Isn’t mind gobbling?

But another scientific fact is also interesting. Big bang was not an explosion of the matter in the universe but explosion of the universe itself.

What was before the universe?

The science is very much clear now…

…there was nothingness! No time and No space. No energy and No mass.

But GOD is answer by the religion!!!

What device God used to expand the universe?
He simply thought, planned and started the universe as per his planning. It is expanding and everything is moving to a predetermined destination as His plans go. He used no device initially to stretch out the heavens. However, once the energy and mass were created, the time and space started to stretch like a rubber sheet or curtain. They started to follow natural laws and continue expanding. No one can see beyond that curtain.

P.S. Dark energy is mass that exists through its gravitational effects but emits no detectable radiation. The dark energy is an unseen influence that is causing the universe to expand with acceleration.

P.P.S: You are right Numbnuts222 that it is 21st century for us; the human beings. But time is creation of God and He does not see the things as we do. It is always present for Him while we have our pasts, presents and futures.

I think its a poetic way of describing the stars being laid out across the sky, so it's referring to light matter rather than dark.

Cheekoo, of course its a poetic expression, its in the bible.
It's bronze age man describing what he can see, not 21st century physics!

only 96% science can not even explain a thought. but they seem to think they have the answers to how we all got here? I wouldn't trust a word they say.
