you're having the half sleeve done all at once?? i personally wouldn't want to go to work the next day, especiall if you will need to use your arms. whenever i get tattooed i try to schedule it for a day that i don't have to work for a couple of days afterward... just because it is uncomfortable and stuff. if you have had tattoos before you should know how much it'll hurt but you will need to be able to keep it clean and take proper care of it.
good luck.

I have 3 tattoos myself and each different place healed and felt differently. The one on my back felt like a sunburn (and its pretty large) but I could still function at work. The other ones didn't really hurt afterwards at all. I would suggest wearing long sleeves if you work in a warehouse. You do not want to get a lot of dirt and stuff into your new tattoo. Also keep the tattoo very moist and wash it often. Like 3-5 times a day. Other than that, I think you should be able to attend work. Besides, your boss isnt going to give you a week off just because you got a tattoo right? If so, I want that job!! Is this your first tattoo??

My best advice to you would be to keep the tattoo as clean as possible... I know when I got the inside of my wrists done, I did have to cover them for work while they were still in the healing process. It's really not the best thing for a new tattoo as they shouldn't be covered while healing, but I understand you gotta do what you gotta do!
If you must cover the half sleeve, do it with a loose-fitting shirt, and wash with a clear, fragrance-free, antibacterial soap, and use a healing ointment like H2Ocean or Cherry Balm (they are made especially for tattoos). If you can keep it clean, you'll probably be okay keeping it covered up during work. Be sure that when you're at home to wear a short-sleeve shirt, and stay out of the sun if you can.

i'll probably get half sleeves one day but i have decided to wait until i am 30 for sure because i want to make sure that i have thought it thru and that i am making the best informed decision for myself. so... i've got three years before i can get started on one but until then i have some other tattoo work to be done. as for how it looks, i think that every tattoo should be judged on it's own merit and not lumped into categories. i love all artistic tattoos that are done by a good tattoo artist and i cringe when i see a crappy tattoo. so regardless of who has what tattoo and where, it's all about what it looks like and less about where it is.

Yeah, I think I'd take the day off ("bossman, I'm calling in 'inked'"). I tend to do so myself, and I'm in a job that's not very physical. Although I do get pinged to lift the servers into racks for my group, that's not the same thing as what you do.
The first day is still the rough one for me. Barring constant banging, a light long sleeve shirt should be fine after that; you just might get the occasional thump that will make you grimace. Is it hot in the warehouse? Sweating might be a problem too, kind of depends.
Best of luck to you.

It will be sore, but you already have the appointment booked so get the tattoo, and go to work. If its really painful take tuesday off but nobody said it was going to be easy...

I'm pretty sure you can. The women at my mothers job come to work with brand new tats and they're bus drivers.
