I got a beautiful Italian Greyhound / beagle mix from the pound and she never sheds at all! So I'll bet you can find a great doggie at the pound too. That way you can save a dog in need and put the rest of the money on initial vet bills. You can ask the staff if the dog sheds much, and run your hand along to coat to test it yourself. But in the end, the love you receive will be worth any messes or shedding :-)

I have Yorkshire Terrior...doesn't shed, just loses hair like I do! lol! You can go to a shelter or to a dog rescue for a specific breed...stay away from puppy mills and stores in the mall. they should all be closed down

If you go to a pet store, you'll pay through the roof. Your best bet, is to go to a shelter, and find your dog. You can get it, alot cheaper, and you'd be happy, with the ton of money saved.

Try looking at a animal shelter.
They have all kinds of dogs that will be killed if no one adopts them.
I found a pure Boxer once--was a super dog.

ALL DOGS SHED!!! ALLLL DOGS!!!! But for a lower shedding dog the shorter the hair the better.

MINIATURE SCHNAUZER. wonderful dogs. can thrive even in small living quarters like an apartment. very good watchdogs too. and handsome.
