In an arranged marriage-does the age of the female make any difference? or can the male do as he pleases( as long as the dowry is paid) ?

Long time ago when there was no education and parents needed more hands to work in family farms in agricultural societies, boys and girls were married early to make more children. No one marries girls these days in any Muslim country until they finish minimum of high school and often college degree.
Even in rural areas now there are schools and girls don't get married at least 16 years of age.
1400 years ago in Arabian peninsula people married their daughters early and they were sent to husband's house after first period of the bride. Arabs were extremely proud of their status and honor. They didn't want a bad reputation or even a blot of bad rumor against their daughters. This was the reason of early marriages.
You guyes keep repeating the marriage of Prophet Mohammad with Aisha to mock Prophet and religion Islam. It was norm those days. Prophet himself married his daughters at same age Aisha was married to Prophet. He didn't ask for marriage. I did explain the background of this marriage before. Even if many read it, they keep raising this question over and over with intention to make Prophet Mohammad.
All they are doing is adding their own sins by mocking a Prophet of God. I know you don't him as Prophet, but you will know on the Day of Judgment . when Angels will throw you in hell fire for the words you speak and write about Mohammad.
None of you were there to know if Aisha's marriage was consumated at age 9. There is a statement of Aisha in her words recorded in the books of Hadiths. She says, I asked Rasoolallah why men keep grazing their sheep in the pastures where sheeps have already grazed, but they don't graze their sheep in pasture where no one has grazed before. Prophet Mohammad didn't consumate the marriage until Aisha herself was ready and asked to consumate her marriage this way with the example of pasture of grazing sheep. It is not recorded in Hadith how old she was then.
God wanted Mohammad to marry her. God showd her in dream more than once. She had the photgraphic memory and was the most intelligent women amongsts all his wives and in whole city of Madina. God put her in the house of Prophet to listen and remember every thing Prophet said, and did to teach about his character, personality and how he treated his wives to the coming generations. Aisha lived until 80 years old and taught Islam even to men from behind the curtain. She was the most authentic narrator of statements of Prophet. God wanted this marriage to save the teachings of Prophet related to women particularly.
If Jesus had married to a younger woman, she could have corrected lots of misinformation about Jesus and Christianity wouldn't have as many denominations as it has today. Jesus didn't even come to start a new religion. Bible says Jesus told his disciples to go to lost sheep of Jews only and do not talk to gentile. It was Paul who invented totally new dogma of trinity about which there is no basis in Bible.
Even after reading my this answer one more time I know those who has made it their hobby to mock Prophet and Islam will still continue doing the same.
Muslim care and do what God has ordained to do for them. They do not care what non-Muslims say about Prophet, their religion or Muslims in general.
