Try to get it to the front of your mouth with your tongue (mouth closed) and then when it gets to the front take it out......there's no real smooth way, but that's a less obvious way.

Actually no. You simply excuse yourself, take a moment and get it out. Simple as that. There's no magic formula, but it's a must do kinda thing. No one wants to operate with hair in the throat. That's irritating as hell.

Nope... just work it forward with your tongue and yank it out with your fingers.
If you spit... or gag... or hack it up like a cat with a hairball - you've pretty much failed on the "smooth" category.
