Yes, all the time. I feel guilty too sometimes when I realize that I'm not paying attention, but sometimes he just goes on and on and on. But I think it's normal and I'm just glad he wants to talk to me.

My youngest son did that! We called him the "Storyteller". It just seemed like he never shut up. But we did our best to listen to him and seem really interested and now at 17yrs old, he has the BEST personality. He's outgoing and confident and it made all the endless stories worth every minute. In fact, now I would like to hear one of those stories as he is too busy to tell me one now! Go figure.

Well, I dont have kids, but my little cousin used to do that. depending on how old your child is, maybe you could be like, "honey, can you hang on for a bit, mommy/daddy is doing something right now." we used to do that, and mostly he would forget what he was saying lol.

That is totally normal. How old is he? My daughter is 18 months and will get into something that she knows she's not suppose to, to get my attention, and she'll keep doin it until I give her my full attention!

Yes, all the time! You wait and wait for their first words and then sometimes all you want is 15 minutes of peace :-). I try to set a timer with my daughter sometimes and ask her to give me ___ minutes, then I can listen to what she has to say.

Constantly.
And god forbid if his older brother wants to get a word in edgewise. Then it's WWIII because his lovely story was interrupted!
