I've seen a lot of Orange Lady Bugs lately especially in our Playground... kids seem to run away from them, does anyone Know what exactly is the difference between the Orange Lady Bug and the Traditinally seen Red Lady Bug.... (obviously aside from the colors)?

It can be differences between species - some species have different coloration than others

It can be differences within species - as mentioned above, H. axyridis has a wide array of coloration within the species, due to genetic variation. However, in other species, it can be due to malnutrition. When ladybugs have a lack of nutrition, their elytra will start to turn from a bright red to a dull orange.

I just wanted to comment on Princess Deb link as I have had a problem with them moving in to my house this past week and the link explained about them. Apparently beetles can range in shade from orange to red.

The Asian Lady Beetles (Harmonia axyridis) they are finding are all one species. These beetles come in a color range from orange to bright red with a variable number of spots. Some other names for them include pumpkin beetle and harlequin beetle.
