My exbf's girlfriend keeps calling me on a private number. She's leaving threatening voicemails, and even though I ignore her phone calls she continues to call and leave rude voicemails.
I have done nothing to this woman to get these phone calls. My exbf obviously still has my number stored in his phone, but I haven't heard from him or even spoken to him in the past year.
Out of nowhere I'm receiving these threatening phone calls from his girlfriend.
How can I find out the phone number, even though it shows up as Private? I'd like to report her. I've saved the voicemails and documented each one.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
Thanks for your help.

I shouldn't have to change my number because of her negligence. She's the one acting childish and stupid. Why should I change my number? Besides that'd be too much of a hassle...it's my work phone too.

Sounds like the guy is still hung up on this girl. Or else...you wouldn't even have been mentioned...ever. Tell this girl you're in no way shape or form interested in her current guy and that you've moved on a long time ago. You've left him alone for a year and you two are done. YES I would report her if she to this day continuously called to harrass me. Say for eg. she called you up today...report her behind. It's not fair to you to have to go through this...this guy was done a whole year ago.

It depends on if they are coming in to your cell or house phone. If its your house you can block it so people have to show there number in order to call you. If its your cell call your cell phone company and ask them what to do.Also document when the calls come in and I would file a police report. Even though its nothing now If something happens you have proof. Also If they contact her to question her she may get scared and stop doing it.
Shes obviousally threatened by you so I would take it as her hating on you cause she is jealous of what you had with him.Shes obviosually a loser so let her hate and just go on your with life.
You should just answer it next time you get a private call and tell her look call me again and I will call the cops for harassment.

I would definately call her job and report that she is using the work line to harrass you.
Other than that there is not much that you can do when you are getting the blocked numbers. If it were bad enough you should save the messages and use them as evidence to file for a restraining order. If it were to be investigated they should be able to find your number on her phone bill.
If anything the easiest solution just may be to contact your exbf and tell him to put his "female dog" in check.

call her work and report it and call your phone provider.. im not sure they can do much about it, but if you block a number and dial 911 they know where the call came from, so im fairly sure they can check for you. also, she is blocking her number when she calls using *67 before the number (for example *67-111-333-7890). there is no way to check the number if it reads private, but they may be able to trace back who has been calling. another option (tho it will cost about $15 and be a royal pain in the ***) is to change your number and she will not have it

No, there is no way to find out a "private" number. The best thing I can suggest it contact your phone service provider and ask for a number change. If the voicemails are harassing in nature, take them to the police, and they can work their magic. :-)

Save all of the voicemails!!! Call the police and tell them you are being threating them she will charged with phone harrassment put in jail with a 5,000.00 bail. You must save them for the police to hear tho. Or you can go whup her ***. Or you can get a block on your phone and it will pull up the number she is calling from anonymously. I f she is calling your cell phone just call your carrier and see what kind of services they are offering for unwanted callers and numbers.

Yes call work and speak to her manager! I had a friend who went through the same problem. They had her fired the next day due to the fact that she sould be working and not making these calls. Also you can call your cell phone company and they should help you by changing your number.

If you *69 the number you can call it back even though you won't find out the number.
You should call the phone company and report the harassing calls. They will monitor your phone and contact her. What she is doing is illegal and they have a way of explaining that to her.

First off, you can more than likely call your phone company, and if you really feel threatened you should go to the police. Second if she called you from her work you should call that place and say you've been getting threatening callsfrom one of their employees. Tell her to the **** grow up and get a life. lol

The answer is that if they block caller I.D., you can't. However you can choose not to accept calls that block caller I.D. This works because when I call someone who doesn't accept blocked caller I.D. calls, I have to dial something first to unblock my I.D.
If that sounds too complicated, you should inform her employer. You should also save answering machine tapes with her threats/stalking on it. There is no expectation of privacy with answering machine messages, so they would be good to use when talking to the employer or, dare I say it, if you have to involve the Police. Good luck.
P.S. Check with your local phone company, they may be able to help.
