It depends on your perspective. Sure, some children need more attention, but children these days grow up so fast. Cherish this stage while you can.

my son was a lot easier at 2 then he is now at 3.. but my daughter has always been an easy child. it just depends on the personality of the child.

Some things are harder and some things are easier.

Harder-
1 they now need constant supervision as they are running around and getting into everything.
2 potty training
3 2-3yrs are testing how much they can get by with, so you are always having to discipline
4 they want to do everything for themselves, even when they can't do it
5 bumps and bruises from falling over constantly
6 whining....oh the whining
7 just learning speech so you can't understand them well at first. The when YOU understand them, nobody else can so you are a walking translator

Easier
1 no more diapers to change
2 sleep schedule should be normal now
3 You don't have to carry them everywhere you go
4 everybody else has gotten over trying to tell you how to take care of your baby
5 they can hug and kiss all the time now

I think all stages are challenging and yet so rewarding. Hang in there because they grow up so fast. Try to find good in the age group your child is in. I have a 1 year old and a almost 3 year old....My one year old is so different from my 3 year old...he is into everything!!!! My pediatrician said that she doesn't know why they call it "terrible 2's"....It starts at 1! Every kid is different. Good luck!

Is what easier? Taking care of a child? I personally think when my daughter was a baby it was easier because she slept more. Now she is 2 1/2 and wants to be entertained and I have to watch her because she is more likely to get hurt or make bigger messes.

That all depends on the child and parent and on what you mean by easier. Every child is unique some easier then others.

I would say three. By then, they hopefully have some words down and can communicat. They, too, will hopefully be a little bit more independant. At age two, it's all tantrums, whining, and crying due to learning and exploring.

Please tell me that it gets easier as I have a two year old!

No, it only gets harder. I think it gets easier once they're past 2nd grade. But then again, other issues come up.

tiny babies are soooo easy, each stage has pros and cons I believe, just remember, it will soon pass. Enjoy the good times and breathe deeply through the rough. Take time for just you too, that really helps, go for a walk, take a bath, read, etc. Good luck!
