Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner has been said to promote hair growth. I've used it before, it helps your hair maintain a heathiness allowing more growth to occur.

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.
If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.
The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

I wish I knew more about why you are asking this question, because with ethnic hair, there are usually a whole different set of hair-growth problems an those with non-ethnic hair. Ethnic hair tends to break more easily, and "rub off." Most any product that claims to improve hair growth / thickness probably does work, but you have to use the product consistently, to really see enough results.
I know none of these are a quick fix or a simple solution to your problem, and for that reason I apologize. But the only suggestions that I can offer you are to protect your hair at night, keep it clean, keep it well conditioned, and don't forget your scalp, as well as your daily nutritional intake. Your scalp may be damaged from over-processing or whatever so take steps to help it heal so that your hair can begin to grow properly. Also nutrition is a big issue to with hair growth. If you find you're not seeing any results as far as the over-the-counter products you are using, maybe consider seeing a doctor to find out if it isn't a nutritional deficiency or something of that nature.
Good luck, hope this helps!

Healthy diet and good vitamins. Hi-Health stores carry a great hair vitamin called Optima 3. I had a hard time getting my hair to grow in the past, but had a thyroid problem and now I feel like one of those Barbie Dolls with a crank on the side of my head it won't stop growing. Also, grab little sections of your hair at a time and gently pull and rotate your hair in a circle while you watch tv or read a book, whatever you do for leisure. It stimulates the blood flow to your scalp and promotes hair growth.

There's a product called "Nioxin" that's very useful if you have "thinning" or sparse hair. I know it works because I've used it, as have several of my family members and friends. I had a lot of breakage and hair loss from using extensions. Now my hair looks great again, and I noticed the difference after using Nioxin only a couple of months!
I don't believe it makes your hair grow "faster", but it does seem to stimulate the scalp and increase follicle production-- hence, more hair.
If you decide to try it, you can find it ~literally~ everywhere... beauty supply shops, drugstores, Walmart, etc...
Here's info and reviews of people who've used it:

Good Luck!

The best way to make hair grow is to use a conditioner everytime you wash your hair and a leave-on conditioner before you comb or brush it especially if you have dry or brittle hair. The biggest problem getting your hair to grow is that it breaks easily. It is still growing, it just keeps getting shorter because of the breakage.

there is not something which will make your hair advance speedier. Hair grows everywhere from a a million/4" to a million/2" a month. Any products claiming they are able to hasten hair boost are to not be believed. they only choose your money.

Wash it more 2 or 3 times a week, with pantene or infusium 23. Don't dye it or perm it for the next 6 months, when you do perm it will look way longer but perms stunt hair growth, keep grease in it for moisture- get a trim to stimulate growth. Take vitamins.
