can you still be a couple even if you arent 'official'?

can you still just be 'dating' but just be happy with each other and let the relationship go in the direction you want? or do you have to be bf and gf?

What really matter in the relationship are the feelings, not a simple title.So, for me, yes you have a couple.I see it in that way.
