I know your foot has to be on the brake. If that doesn't work they used to have a button or something you could press in on the right side of the shifter. In case of an emergency like this.

right by the bottom of the shifter there should be a little snap on cover over a button. pop the cover off, and press the button down. the shifter should move then. you wil have to do that every time you would normally press the shifter button. so take it to an honest shop and get it fixed.

Gee learn to spell Japanese....
There is a spot to the right of the shifter a little cover. Remove that and press the little actuator under it and shift. If it shifts then the cable to the brake has broken and needs to be replaced.
I am only guessing you are pressing the brake before shifting as it tells you to on the dash doesn't it :-)

This car has a brake light switch on the upper part of the brake pedal assembly. There is a blue or black rubber stopper that pushes on the switch when you step on the brakes. Your problem is either the rubber stopper or the stop light switch. I know alot of people will disagree with me. But I've sold plenty of both of these parts. It is rare that the shifter solenoid goes bad on this car.

Did you press the brake first? Try moving the shifter back and forth as you press on the brake and the button.
It could be the brake switch.
