There's a story that he traviled to the Himilayas to study with Hindu and Buddhist preasts. Some say he returned there after the "resurection."

Where does this story come from and what is the evidence for it?

No truth to it at all.

Jesus never went to China and India. The Bible says He was with his family in Israel for all those years. After the Resurrection, He went to heaven.

Christians, of course will deny it. Christ in India, trained in Yoga, could easily have feigned death. Where will that leave resurrection? It will be still born.

Thomas might have come to India, but did not have influence. He is not mentioned in contemporary writings.

Miracles??? Haha. Any of that can be performed by accomplished Yogis.

Who in India would confuse Jesus with Thomas?? As you say, they did not have Jesus to compare Thomas with!! Lols.

But why would Indians be interested in Jesus or Thomas??

But Jesus seems to be India after "resurrection" about 45 AD. He gets mentioned in 17 verses.

Missing years.

There is striking lack of ANY contemporary or later writing about where he was those 16-17 years. Learning at which temple?? Some Indian school it was.

Learning carpentry?? Lols. A prophecied "saviour" at carpentry?? Did he ply his trade any time?? NO.

It comes from the travels of Thomas & his disciples who made their way to the Island that is now called Japan by 70 A.D.

Ancient buddhist temples have been discovered to be ancient houses of prayer that were taken by violence. Ancient tomb stones tell Bible stories. Many churches existed in China during the 3rd century when Budhism was just starting to take off there.

Thomas performed miracles just as the other Apostles did. He was easily confused for Jesus and as the stories were embellished, the one you repeated is now told. It is not that hard really.

It is a case of mistake identity. Jesus is mistake for the Apostle Thomas or Thomas' disciples.

Look for the book "The Lost Years of Jesus" by Elizabeth Clare Prophet. It's a very interesting theory, but, of course, as many other stories from the life of Jesus, organized religions refuse to even look at it because they fear their business will go bankrupt. According to the book, Jesus went to India, Nepal, Ladakh, and Tibet and returned when he was about to start his ministry. Not that I believe this theory but I rather read about it and not depend on someone else opinion.

What missing years? he was growing wise and learning at temple, learning the carpentry trade, helping at home.....

Jesus was learning and preparing what he needed to do to be about his ministry.

Jesus became a Buddhist after that visit. That's the real reason he was crucified.
