Even if you were racially profiling, how can you tell those who have a greencard in their pocket from those who don't?
And no, the country isn't in agreement. There's a strong sentiment against it online, but that's because people feel free to vent their racism when you can't see their faces. When you look someone in the eye, they're usually too ashamed to babble ignorantly.

A couple of things:
1. Strengthen the laws concerning pre-employment ID checks. Require employers to report any applicant that is unable to verify eligibility within a reasonable amount of time. This will get some deported and also reduce the number of available jobs.
2. Strengthen the consequences of hiring illegal aliens (or anyone else that can not show the proper documents). If a company has to pay way more than it could possible save by hiring these people more jobs for illegals will disappear. This will drive people back home.
3. While people have an issue with this, institute Real ID or another similar program where US citizens will have ID that shows citizenship. Currently drivers licenses do not do this as legal immigrants that are not citizens yet can legally be licensed to drive.
4. Require local police to detain illegal aliens and turn them over to ICE for deportation. Require the jails and prisons to release inmates following their sentence to ICE for deportation.

Your better to say Native Americans without US Visas. Native Americans have lived on this land forever. Yes, before the genocide of many tribes by the racist Europeans. Do some history research. Many whites are calling Native Americas people names, such as Spanish, Latino, Hispanic, and illegal aliens. All are incorrect.
Christians should know that the language Latin is from the country of the Christian Bible - Italy. Google it.
Spanish is a European language from Spain, and Hispanic means people also from Spain.
Aliens are from outerspace and are scary as is anything illegal.
Free trade increased people moving to the US (National Geographics 2007). It was suppost to help improve peoples conditions around the world but has become slave labor where people work 16 hour days, 7 days a week for pennies (Walmart: the high cost of low prices).
But do we want to walk a mile in someone elses shoes?
Let allow the few wealthy to own everyone - New World Order?

What is an 'illegal citizen' - do you mean a citizen of another country in America illegally?
Racial profiling wouldn't help, in the first place, since illegal aliens are of all 'races.' Theoretically, llegals could be flagged for deportation any time they come into contact with any government bureaucracy, or aply for a job, loan or anything else that uses a social security number. This would occassionaly inconvenience citizens and legal residents who have had thier identities stolen by an illegal - but compared to the inconveniences of continued identity theft, that's probably OK. In any case, it would be paper-work based, race wouldn't have to come into it, at all.

First, we need congress to repeal the law that prohibits state and local law enforcement agencies from enforcing immigration law.
Second, we need to ensure that all publicly issued IDs in the United States clearly indicate a persons citizenship or legal residency status and when it expires.
Third, we need an easily accessible data base for employers to check the legal work status of any potential employees.
Fourth, we need to enforce violations.
It is simple, every person who applies for a job will have their work status checked. If it is invalid, the employer should notify Law enforcement. Anytime a police officer asks for ID, he will be able to see if that person is a citizen or legal resident of this country. If not an arrest will be made. This will take care of the people who overstay their visas. And those without ID can be checked out on suspicion.
Enforcement is just one part. We also need to reform our broken immigration system to one that is not so cumbersome and confusing. There is no reason that people should have to wait 10 years to get into this country legally. It needs to be expedited so that legal immigration is an easier path to follow than illegal immigration.
The next part is Border security. But that has been talked to death and everyone knows it. Suffice it to say that we need to be able to prevent people from getting across very easily. It is probably impossible to stop it completely, but you can make it sufficiently difficult to discourage most from trying it.

The fact is Not all Hispanics are illegals, and not all illegals are Hispanic. So, even if you wanted to racial profile it will not work. But some sort of border control is needed. Or to Annex Mexico to make 5 new states... Then our southern border becomes very small, a short fence...

I don't really see it as a matter of race. They simply aren't tax paying citizens so they don't belong here rather than as vacationers. The best way to deport seems to be for the government to try and work with theirs to set up a better way of patrolling the borders all along the states, maybe a short-term work program for those who have been here for a long time that still taxes them while giving them a time limit to leave with stringent punishment for returning, and becoming more aggressive in cracking down on those states where they are more prevalent.

Stiffen the penalties for I9 violations for employeers (I9 is the form for right to work Identification and is strict)
Develope system for ID's for temporary workers (who are currently exempt from I9 regulations), such as agricultural workers, pickers, planters ...
BORDOR CONTROL
Develope a better system for issuing a driver license, (since illegals do not have ss#, there is no way to track even driving violations such as DUI...if they change states. I witnessed a man who had 3 DUI's in 3 states, as he came before the judge for his 4th. It turned out he had run her off the road several weeks earlier, lol. she had been trying to track his violations through the van that ran her off the road)
BORDOR CONTROL
There are several trials of releasing criminal, illegals directly to ICE for immediate deportation (doing it early saves taxpayers money on keeping them in overcrowded prisons and the success rate on rearrest is 98%)
BORDOR CONTROL
I agree w/ cutting out welfare oriented healthcare ... without citizenship or valid worker ID
I am not fond of national ID's for natural citizens, too much of Hitler and USSR for my taste, there. But I do go for a national ID for every person who is not a legal citizen, as a legitimate situation that can be easily tied in to existing work visas, school visas ...
BORDOR CONTROL
It is ridiculous how open our borders are, North and South. We live in a new world, post 911. We have to have stronger control of who is here and who isn't, and it is a much more important issue than a hispanic man working for 15 years in Houston, sending all of his money to Mexico. We really have no idea who is in this country, Iranian, Mexican, Polish or English for that matter.
Fact of the matter is, we can track legal citizens and that's about all.
Another great question!!

Validate citizenship.
There is also a large amount of Polish illegals. It's not a race thing, it's a law thing.

Profiling on the basis of breaking the law is called 'enforcement'.
That kind of profiling is ok.
Ask everyone who enrolls in school or takes any community benefit of any sort or votes or is stopped for a ticket or is arrested or gets a job or a license and check to make sure data adds up (address etc) w/ social security. In Ca, one thing they seem to do right, absent fraud, is drivers' licenses. When you go to renew yours or because you lost one they ask for something with your address, and make sure it ties into your social security address and your picture matches you. It is a momentary thing they do while they wait. It could be done many places, to all of us, or to all foreign born. Considering someone foreign born due to clothing and lack of English isn't unacceptable, either.

When ever someone gets stopped by the police or any law enforcement agency the person must produce a valid state issued ID and the SocSec number must match the name. If not, they get moved to a holding area where any discrepancies can be sorted out. If they are truly illegal then they get a bus ride back to the southern border of Mexico.
