Considering our wide open borders and the ease with which a terrorist attack could be launched, doesn't the obvious answer seem kind of odd?

Honestly, guys, I'd like to see some evidence that anything Bush has done has anything to do with the lack of terrorist attacks in the States. There was the anthrax thing, the D.C. shooter, and some school shootings. That's it that I know of, and all of those appear to have been perpetrated by Americans, not foreign terrorists.
Millions of people cross our borders illegally. Anyone who wanted to attack this country could do it without a problem. No one is even trying to stop them. There is no serious terrorist threat to this country. 9/11 was a terrible thing, but it was a single incident. So why are there no car or truck bombs? No roadside bombs? No planes crashing?

I mean FOREIGN terrorism. Obviously fighting a war in Iraq and Afghanistan isn't going to do anything to stop "domestic terrorism."

I checked Boss H's refs:
1. Aircraft: Elaborate overseas plot.
2. JFK: Elaborate plot, but legit
3. Fort Dix: Absurd put on. Nobody but a complete moron would really do that.
4. Columbus: No plot, no plans, no actions. Just a suggestion.
5. Nuke plant: No foreign terrorist connection. Probably a neighbor kid who didn't know the truck would be used. Maybe it was his wife.
These are all either obvious distractions or way too elaborate. What about all those bombings in Iraq. They're simple and the materials are readily available right here. Does the plane ride to Mexico somehow fry their brains so they forget how to do that by the time they get here? Seriously. Where are all the terrorists?

Elaborate plots are easy to thwart, hence the many accusations of complicity in the events of 9/11. Car bombings and similar stunts are not elaborate. They are child's play, and easy to get away with. Terrorists pull them off all the time all over the world. If terrorists really want to hurt Americans, why don't they do what has always worked for them? I think it's because they don't really care all that much about us except to pick a fight. Well, we gave them that and lost ourselves in the process.

To the first answer on here, tell me how it was an inside job. Give me hard proof, not some edited weblink, that says the US Government was behind 9/11 from the start.
What about the Intel Clinton got. Was he behind it as well?
If our goal was Iraq from the start, why mess with Afghanistan first? If we wanted Iraq for oil, why am I paying over $3 a gallon for gas. I mean, we have all this oil now, why are we overcharging our own citizens?
Hey JimSock, the question is IN the United States, not IN the world.

No documented terrorist assaults have befell contained in u . s . a . of america between 9/11/2001 to the cutting-edge twelve months of 2006. whether, that doesn’t practice that George Bush’s anti-terrorist job rigidity is inevitably effective. For after the 1st international commerce midsection bombing in 1993, we additionally went via a protracted era of not having a terrorist assaults on US soil. Will any Republican credit Clinton for protecting us secure all those years? of course not. this is exciting to notice however that a upward push in terrorist events have exceeded off during the globe. subsequently, Bush's projects have been counterproductive.

The same amount that had occurred in America 6 years prior to 9/11 2001.
Bin Laden was admonished for attacking the US without first allowing us time to convert to Islam. Within the past several months, he has been given permission to kill up to 10,000,000 Americans.
My best guess is that there will be several, simultaneous, suicide bombings in US malls across the country. A couple will not go off as intended and many Americans will be afraid to go shopping for months to follow due to the trauma which is only natural.
Bin Laden focuses on commerce and spectacle. Had the Taliban been eradicated along with the poppy fields that fund terrorism, OBL's next attack would have been far more difficult to plan and finance.

The answer was and is that 9/11 was allowed to happen.
The criminals are working hard. They murdered Dr Wood's Clemson 9/11 research student Michael Zebuhr, as well as her instructors at Virginia Tech.

None that I've heard of. Could it possibly be that someone named George has the terrorists occupied in a land far, far away? Could it be that the same George has instituted measures to learn of their nefarious plans and thwart them before they have a chance to bring them to fruition and kill more thousands of Americans on US soil? Could it be that certain people in America think that those measures are evil because they falsely think that their privacy is being invaded?
