so are you the girlfriend?
dayumn, that's tuff.
sounds like to me their just toying with their dads heartstrings so they can either stay up later, or get what they want in general. I agree with the previous posts, i don't think they really know what they're doing, but subconciously, they just want your attention.
good luck with that, btw, how old are they?

Yes it is completely normal, when they get into trouble and don't like your consequence, Mom's house will have a different consequence unless the both of you work it out NOW and as Parents wanting the best choices for your children decide on the consequences. The Punishment should fit the crime........and usually one parent is like a Sargent in the Military.....too much too hard. The other parent overlooks or soothes the problem and is easier on the kids. That's the house I would want to go too......oooh yeah....

My oldest child is from a previous marriage, and she constantly threatens to move to her dad's when she's in trouble. Her new one is that when she's 12 she can pick where she wants to live. Unfortunately kids are going to say things like that, and the best thing that you can do is not let your feelings get hurt. Sometimes if you tell them that it hurts your feelings it might help, but sometimes (depending on the child) it tells them what to do to get to you.
Good luck and be patient!

My daughter is ten and does the same thing when she is mad at me. All kids go through this. U have to be consistent with discipline and they will respect u as a parent. I tell my daughter that she can be mad at me but there will also be rules if she lives with her dad. Kids like to get a reaction from you. Good luck!

Of course it's normal...they've no doubt yelled out 'I want to go to Daddy's' when they're getting in trouble from Mom too...
No worries, Dad. Very normal.

it's very normal.. my kids pit me and their father against each other all the time. when one punishes, they run to the other for reassurance and vindication (whether they do it knowingly i don't have a clue!) they'll grow out of once they get used to the adjustment, but also both parents have to be firm and consistent with discipline and rules in general. if one parent lets them stay up late and eat junk food alot, the other parent will have lots of problems!! (for example)
