I think it is both. In the Bible book of "The Revelation of John" (commonly called "Revelations") there is a description of a new city descending from the clouds, which has 12 gates (three on each of four sides). If there is only one way to get to heaven (and most people assume that this is a description relating to heaven coming to earth) - what are the other 11 gates for?

So, I think it is narrow in the sense that you are the only one who can walk your path, and noone else . Also, you can't walk anyone else's path, you must follow your own.

I think it's broad in the sense that there is no path that is the only one that will work for everyone.

Narrow

It’s as broad as can be. Men and their strict beliefs have made it narrow and hard. They force themselves to believe in this almighty benevolent God but put all sorts of restrictions on him and how to get to him. I find religion hypocritical. Heaven, nirvana, the kingdom of Jehovah… it’s all the same… a place where you will be happy forever… after you died and you have to be good to get in obviously… but there are a googol ways to be good… so it is definitely broad.

The paths to heaven are legion and broad. Every path leads to heaven.

I believe there are many paths. Individually they are narrow, but as a whole they are broad.

It's narrow. It's narrow because of it's requirements. Few people are willing to give up their selfish wants and desires to pick up their cross and follow Jesus.

at first, do no longer challenge your self plenty with numbers and knowledge. you do no longer would desire to absolutely disect what God is telling us. in case you provide into all the enticements of hell (lust, greed, hate, and so on) then definite it somewhat is amazingly hassle-free to head into the extensive gates of hell. yet you will continually see a speck of sunshine on the tip of the tunnel that's God and picking eternal existence in heaven. The gateway would look small and narrow from a distance yet you will get closer and closer and all and sundry who seeks God won't perish as they gain this. God is a honest God and it you seek for him you will honestly discover him. it somewhat is declared that approximately one 0.33 of the earth's inhabitants are believers in Jesus Christ. which might leave approximately 2 thirds of the earth's human beings to take the extensive direction to hell. In historic previous, in all possibility around the comparable volume of folk for heaven vs hell. it truly is the regulation of numbers>each thing balances out.
