It's the same type of question as how can kids raised by the same parents, in the same neighborhood, in the same house turn out so differently sometimes. Or how can some people use the same circumstances that beat others down to motivate themselves to get over those circumstances and succeed. I think success or failure takes place on the inside first ... inside our spirits and our minds.

You are making an OVER generalization. Still i get the premise you are asking. It is our view, thought about the experience. Not the experience itself. Two different people can have the same or very similar experience. One would enjoy it the other may detest it. This goes to the root of PTSD. Where one person will have PTSD from an experience and another person will not be bothered by it. I have had many experiences that many people would have many psychiatric problems from yet i don't even have a bad thought about it. The reason being is that i never thought like a victim. I always look for a solution and how to defend myself. I never prayed to some imaginary god since i know that will never help. I knew that I have to do what needs to be done.

We don't all have the same basic experience here on earth. Each individual experiences things differently. Some experience pain as pleasure and vice verse. That individuality is what makes us as humans either hate or loathe the world we live in. Many feel trapped in their world but really they could leave at anytime, they aren't physically unable to make a change but psychologically, afraid of the unknown. Some people rely on the unknown and depend on it. Having to have a constant state of newness to be happy. The fact is we don't know what we want because we don't know who we are, and until we figure that out we can't ever be happy one way or another.

Perspective and personality.
If we all have the same experience one day, we will all see it differently. This is due to the perspective we see that action in.
For example:
Take a bite of an apple. The juice squirts into your mouth, your teeth feel the sense of crispness, and the flavor makes your mouth water. Right?
Well some people get the same bight, think it is to sour or sweet, they hate to have to use their mouths to bite things, and they dont like the juice of it all.
It is how they see that action based on their past experiences and their personality traits.
that is what I think anyway.
I love the apples of the world.

As to the "same basic experience" we certainly don't share that aspect of living.
To your question; Why some relish while others loathe? I feel it's a combination of the things you list; perspective, circumstance, attraction, creation, all of those. None of which are "same".

Look around we all have different experiences. But it is true about the positive/ negative stuff. You do attract and so create your own circumstances. I think it is all how you view things, regardless. I think happiness is a choice, regardless of what is going on the day will begin & end & so on. I just keep telling myself that good or bad this too will pass.

Well that's true we do all have the same basic experiences..We're born, we live, we die...we all have good times and bad times...Very basic and broad there but hey what can you say right? Anywhos..People are raised by there parents who either give them negative or positive experiences...You are taught from birth how to view the world..not to say that you can't form your own opinion when your older but still people tend to do/ act the way they repeatedly see the others around them do/act...

I have to admit; I think my perspective would definately be more positive if I were drinking margueritas on a private beach snorting cocaine off of some naked supermodels without a care in the world...
Somehow that just seems better than cold turkey sandwiches and a can of pop in a cubicle during winter in Canada.
I also imagine it would be worse if I were some starving child amongst millions in a third world country that most people haven't even ever heard of...
I think the important thing is either to be happy with what you have, or do your damned best to fix whatever you need to, in order to be happy...

(Attitude Creed) The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...you are in charge of your attitude. (Author unknown) I have this on the wall of my bedroom so I see it every day--really need it more some days than others. :-) (Although still thankful I'm better off than many.)

"Same basic experience" is a far cry from reality. Not only in the same community do experiences differ tremendously but once you start crossing geographies and cultures, life experiences are so far from related that people may as well live on different planets or in different times.
Life experience, culture, environment and personal disposition allow us all to live relatively unique lives. Thankfully for some, Regretably for others.
