can my daughter still fly on my wifes passport as it is still valid from befor the law changed?

Not unless your daughter is under 6 years old. Your wife's passport is still valid for herself, as long as it hasn't expired, but your daughter may need her own.

A Biometric passport is needed for entry into most countries now.Your safest bet is to get the girl a new passport,but ay are you telling all dont think so.

Phone the airline you are flying with and check. They may say yes, but when you get to the airport another person of the same airline may say no.
If they say yes, get them to email you confirming it with the persons full name.

Yes unless she is already sixteen, then she has to have her own.

If she is under sixteen, she can travel on your wife's passport until it expires, then she has to have her own.
