I agree completely.
Spirituality is about love and peace.
Religion is about dogma and hate.
Fundies are so full of hate and ignorance that they have no spirituality at all.

The biggest problem with them is how often they are confused. Religion is simply a formalized culturally biased way in which we learn and talk about our spirituality. Religion is a group of ideas about spirituality and God masquerading as the real thing.
Spirituality leads us to truth and truth needs no defense. Most times a true spiritual experience cannot be put into words.
Whenever you find people defending their personal beliefs about spirituality or trying to push them onto others you are witnessing religion in action. That person is not behaving in a spiritual manner but rather in a religious manner. To call that person "spiritual" as if he were more spiritual than anyone else is ludicrous.
Religion is an ego choice.
Spirituality is just your natural state of being.
We are all spiritual beings whether we are conscious of it or not.

I think this also boils down to interpretation of religion, spirituality and Science. Possibly many of us have experienced "religious" people differently. The word "problem"? Who is having the problem?? Is there not a judgement being placed here on "right and wrong". I would bet that the "too religious" folk think something is off with us spiritual folk. I believe spiritual people are scientific people knowing and practicing the Scientifically "proven" Spiritual Laws of the Universe. I also believe that spiritual people are connected the their Divine Source and know THE TRUTH..... Food for thought....
There is a great divide between what is called science and what is called religion. For some this divide means that religion is in error. And for others this means that science is in error. So what is the reality? If both of them cannot be right, then either of them or both of them must be wrong. The split between science and religion has led to endless debates.
The actual relationship between science and religion is quite different from what most people think. This is so because truth is one; it cannot be two. If it is two, it cannot be truth. To understand this properly we must understand the real meaning of the terms "science" and "religion", not the distorted understandings.
The word science comes from the Latin world "scientia" which means "knowledge." And the word "religion" comes from the Latin "religare" which means "reconnect." Just as the honey in a jar is only fully realized when it is tasted, knowledge of the Absolute Truth is only fully realized when we reconnect with it. The more we connect with it, the more we understand it. And the more we understand it, the more we will want to connect with it. So science is theoretical understanding of the Absolute Truth and religion is practical realization of the Absolute Truth. Just like in a chemistry course we learn that H20 = water in the lecture and then practically apply it in the laboratory, science is theoretical and religion is practical. Both are necessary aspects of fully experiencing and comprehending the Absolute Truth. Real science encourages religion, and real religion deepens our scientific understanding. Hence spirituality.
So there is no question of which religion somebody belongs to. A person is either connected to the Absolute Truth or not connected to the Absolute Truth. They are either religious or irreligious. And there is no question of religion and science having two different explanations of reality. They are both necessary aspects of realizing the one truth

Dogma is a different subject. Watch a Russian Orthodox Priest sing the provider, at times swinging an incense-crammed bowl on a rope. he's married and has babies. See the Roman Catholic Nun. She wears a marriage band. Is she married to God someway? definite? isn't that slightly unusual? what number different halves does God have then? Why? in basic terms Roman Catholic women? only asking. i used to be a Presbyterian. same God, good? would not look like it at times, once you supply the subject some theory. Why is Christianity so damned complicated? Is it only the money? The Jewish Priestly hierarchy in basic terms quarreled approximately who have been given the olive oil tax or which city might host the as quickly as a year celebrations. The intense Priest of course develop into allowed element of the better inventory and widespread end result dropped on the altar as burnt selections to God. a number of those intense monks have been proved to be cheating. have been countless them cheating? definite? Did a number of them get the job with the aid of fact they have been intense bidder for the region? it rather is the money isn't it? it constantly has been only the money.

Religion and spirituality are two different things. Religion is nothing more than MAN'S view of God based on what his own interpretation of Scripture is. Spirituality is the state of living within a true Christian walk between an individual honestly striving to make it to Heaven and God. A "religious" person tends to put on a show with their "knowledge", only living up to a PORTION of what's in the Bible in order to make a good impression on people. A spiritual person is one who "talks the talk and walks the walk" according to what GOD says is proper for them to do and can be found IN SCRIPTURE to prove they're doing right!

Spiritual people have no use for religion and religious people are by and large ignorant of what spirituality actually is. Through spirituality people can gain insight and appreciation for this life. Religion is like a pacifier for people who are unable to cope with this life and need to relief their anxieties by looking at it as some sort of perverted test for an eternal afterlife in a paradise setting.

I love this question, and I love the people that have answered it with so much honesty. Finally I can see a group of folks on here with whom I agree more than anyone else. It's the closed minds, the fearful and faithless that constantly condemn everyone who does not agree with them, these are the biggest concerns I have about the world. They are so well represented here. What we really need more of is the patient and the temperate. No wonder people hate religion, when the loudest voices really are nuts!

Spirituality means of the spirit or soul. Spirituality is about going within and finding your God there and communicating with your God there.
Organized religion is outward, looking outside oneself for guidence in the form of structure and rules.

People have become partial. A Muslim wants a muslim, hindu wants a hindu, christian wants a christian. And all propose their religion and impose that the GOD is their own. Whereas GOD never created any divisions and never did HE asked of any one to follow a particular religion where HE would be available. HE wanted us just to remember HIM in all the spheres of life. This is the only thing HE wanted. And what are we people doing?

Wow what a great question!! Star for you!!
Ok, to answer your question, Id say the biggest problem is with fundamentalism. And that's of any beliefs. The idea that only you and people like you have the"right" path. Everybody else is SOL.

Like I said before, religion is a business.
Only dumb and the weak believe in god.
Televangelist are living like movie star.
Those stupid red-necks actually donated money to a televangelist to buy a jet.
He told them it's for the use of god. LOL
What a joke.
The US government is also dumb like a red-neck by allowing churches to get away with tax-free income.
The believe to do good like the right religion.
However, saying one religion is better than other is definitely evil.
Those preacher are actually devils in sheep's clothing.
Good preacher do not live better than the average person, do not say bad things about other people or religion or country.
The government should get rid of the tax-exemption of chuches.
China is the only country that's on the right path.
They are realize and not as religious.
They totally agree with the Chinese government on religion.
