I am trying to figure out what to buy my 14 yr old neice for xmas?
I have no idea what teenage girls are into, besides all the things I cannot contribute to. I am 39 and a little out of touch here.

Gift Card to any stylish store. That way she can get what she wants instead of a gift she might just put away in a draw.

A nice gift card to a local clothing store or music store would be nice. And at 14 you could still give her one of those really soft stuffed animals holding the gift card. At 14 she's at that age that she would never ask for a stuffed animal but if you get one of the ones that are just soooooo soft she will still love it. To me 14 is a little young for jewelry and make-up is a personal thing between the parents and the teenager. I'd go with the gift card.

I bought a hat for my son last year (size 6/ 00) he was nine months old when he grew out of it!!! He's now two and in a size 61/2 which was handed down to him after a ten year old grew out of it!! So its important to measure her head as there aint much differance in size between kids and adults heads.

A gift card from a clothing store some lotions from bath and body works. Something to do with music. Make up if her parents allow it very lite colors.

When I was 14 I was so excited because my grandfather got me one of those prepaid Visa cards that had $200 dollars on it. I was able to buy anything I wanted in the mall or online.

Sometimes is better just to ask.... if she is into electronics maybe buying her a gift certificate from Best Buy.. or find out the name of her favorite store and get it from there.
