The only people that I have met who hate God are people who believe in God and are under the delusion that God failed them in some way. They have not reconciled that God's will is not a personal attack, but a catalyst for our growth. You might be refering to atheists...but they cannot hate something they don't believe in. They are more likely to hate those who shove their beliefs down their throat.

If you're referring to atheists here, we don't hate God because it's impossible to hate that which does not exist.

Unfortunately lots of God-believers exist, and some of them can certainly do a lot to get some well-deserved hate. Usually the things they do that garner hate are done in the name of their beliefs.

To wit: The Westboro Baptist Church.

It's impossible to hate something that doesn't exist . When a person says that he hates god , what he means is that he hates the belief in the impossible .

It's not necessarily hate, it's just that athiest or people who believe in another religion do not believe in god. What people hate is when others try to make us believe in something we've chosen not to. Its like what makes your religion so much better then ours? What if we feel the same thing about our religion you claim to feel about your religion? Thats what we hate, not god.

In christian, Hindu and few other non terrorism religions it do not bind up to believe God. If you agree the reality that's enough it will be equal to believing in God by accepting the creation of the God. Regarding the terrorist religions its not like that. Since child they force to believe in God other wise they are killed, threatened and etc. Thats Why (for the purpose of heaven to be alloted by God for them) they are bombing, terrorifying others, forcing others to believe. Do still think it is needed? by such activities world is loosing its belief in the God.

I don't see many people here who hate God.

I do see people here who simply lack belief in Gods.

Do you believe in Zeus? How could you not? Can you prove he doesn't exist? How could you hate Zeus so much?

Lots of people here think of your God the way you think of Zeus. There's no hate involved, just disbelief.

I don't hate God, I simply do not believe he exists.

What I do hate is when people use their religion and their God to persecute or harm someone else, or hinder scientific development.

I don't think people "hate God", they just loathe those who believe in a Christian God and there-by go about their actions proving it in VERY unintellectual ways. Latest stats are that 82% of American society believes in a Christian divine being or "God". That's a pretty hefty number right there. The majority DEFINITELY believes and attends Church. (Source: http://www.harrisinteractive.com/harris_poll/index.asp?PID=618 )

Quite a few of the bloated-at-the-mouth minority non-believers (and I call them that because that's what they are for the most part today) demonize Christians, yet they don't demonize radicals in any other religion, that's OBVIOUS, especially in the media and the increasingly Liberal justices in courts. They want to remove God from the Pledge of Allegiance, remove any image of anything representing religion from public displays, town symbols, removing Christmas decorations from public property, etc... even though those symbols have been in those places for hundreds or more years. There's a case here in So. Cal where passers-by on the highway wants a cross removed from a monument overlooking a Veterand Cemetary that has been there for over 50 years. All of these people who claim to be more "enlightened" and "intelligent" than those who believe act like f-ing children when it comes to other's beliefs... they want YOU to believe what they believe and they want YOU to live life by THEIR standards but they are completely unwilling to live life by anyone else's... ie. with the word "God" in the pledge of allegiance, even though these things don't even affect them one iota.

I was raised Roman Catholic, I AM NOW AGNOSTIC, not sure what I believe because the FACT remains that NONE OF US TYULY KNOWS until we die (and that applies in every situation in life), then it's too late, or maybe not. I'll go to Church with you and not roll an eye, I'll engage in intellectual theological discussions & debates with you where I will represent both sides, I'll recite the Pledge with God in it, and I'll even pray because in my mind, it doesn't bother me, it affects me in NO capacity other than this: let's use prayer as an example, it's been PROVEN with absolutely No dispute that those who pray are happier and healthier, I think it's because when we pray, it's NEVER about bad things happening, you're asking for GOOD, how can that possibly be negative?? It's the same thing as meditation, it elicits the same emotional responses in the body. (one source, google more at your convenievce: http://www.salon.com/health/feature/1999/11/03/prayer/index1.html )

All I know is that I don't care what one believes or doesn't believe, I don't care what side you're on politically, I don't care if you bathe in pudding with monkeys every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening while doing all kinds of inappropriate things to yourself, so long as you are not intentionally injurious in any way towards other people and you do good for others in life & are a positive contribution tot h world, then you're good in my book. But hey, if you do those things I listed, don't be expecting any calls from me anytime soon, or at all!!!! ha!

But you must understand, HATE is exactly like FEAR... that emotion and response is elicited when someone doesn't understand either by personal choice or by lacking the mental capacity of understanding, the latter of the two being the case most of the time. And I'm tired of loud-mouths on BOTH sides acting like children.

PHEW! That was a lot! ha!
