Because the wages of sin is death, and so someone has to pay the wages. That's why Jesus had to die --- in our place.

1) Jesus is NOT God's son. God has NO children or spouse. God is the Unique One, not like the rest of creation. The Bible has been corrupted by man, much of it isn't God's original word anymore. When God revealed The Holy Quran, God promised NEVER to let man change/edit it. It has remained the same since day one.
2) God is Al-'Awwal - The First, The One whose Existence is without a beginning.
Al-'Akhir - The Last, The One whose Existence is without an end.
GOD WILL NEVER DIE.
God is oft forgiving, most merciful.
3) If as Christians claim God died then who was watching over the world?????
It doesn't make ANY sense. There is no such thing as the trinity - the trinity is MAN MADE. God is ONE, God is WHOLE and COMPLETE, God is NOT 3 in 1.
Jesus is indeed very special and he was blessed with the Holy Spirit but he was no more than a Prophet and Messenger of God. Jesus is a MAN, a HUMAN just like everyone else. God is 'Al-Hayy' - The Alive, The One attributed with a life that is unlike our life and is not that of a combination of soul, flesh or blood.

God sent His Son because we can't have sin in our lives WITHOUT the "ugliness". Since flesh cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven, nor can sin enter in, the ugliness has to be put away from us in order to restore the pristine nature in which we were originally created. Remember the part of the Crucifixion in which the Bible describes the sky turning dark and no one could see Him hanging on the Cross? I heard an interesting reason as to why the sky went dark. It was assumed that because He was dying for ALL THE SINS a person could EVER commit no matter how heinous they might be, the sins would have distorted His body and nature into a creature so vile and disgusting that we were spared the grotesque nature of His blood absolving us from sin!

I guess it would be nice. However if a doctor did not cut into a patient, how would he remove the tumor or cyst? If a seed did not die and shrivel up, how would it then grow into a new tree? Even a scab from a cut, if it did not peel off how would you uncover the new skin underneath?
It was a man that was filled with God's Spirit that made the mistake. It had to be a Man filled with God's Spirit to fix it. Because of that mistake, though, no man could ever become born filled with the Spirit. So God, staying withen every boundary that He put inplace to begin with and going by all the rules, still found a way and did it for us. He also did it because He thought we were worth it. I really Thank You for putting me in remembrance of that.
God Bless You and Bring you into His Truth.

God did not let people kill Jesus, This story (sorry to say but I should tell the truth) was made up after Jesus. Of course Jesus had a man having many virtues and he was also a messenger from God but nothing more. He was not son of God. God does not need a son and God does not need to sacrifice anybody to able to forgive others. According to the ISLAM EVERYBODY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN BEHAVIORS. NOBODY CAN PAY FOR EACH OTHER... All the best : )

Since God is a god of justice (and mercy), a price needed to be paid for the remission of sins. Christ came and bore our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. But this was only a part of his mission here on earth. He needed to die as well so that the resurrection could be possible. We needed a Savior. One who was wholly without sin. Jesus was the only one who could atone for the sins of others since he had none of his own. And through the miraculous power of his resurrection, we too will be resurrected one day. Every one of us. And then comes the judgment by Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can judge us on our mortal life because he was the only one who lived a perfect life. It's a pretty amazing plan!

Because the Biblical [G]od is the kind of person who believes in the death penalty for shoplifting.
I agree with you 100%. If I were present at the crucifixion, and really believed that Jesus being up on the cross was to pay for my "sins", I'd tell him to get down from there and get on with the rest of his life. All he would have to do to pay for my sins would be to pay a fine, or maybe do some community service.
Nothing I've done is so bad that somebody has to die to pay for it!

You are asking to have God's mind read.
But if you think about this logically, if God had just forgiven all our sins would his people, the Jews, have taken heed any better then than they were with anything else back then? And by sending Christ then this spread across the world, not being limited to just Israel. Would you know of this forgiveness way over here if Jesus had not come? Think

Because we live in an ordered world. Sin requires a consequence a sacrifice. This is not the command of God, but the natural order of things. Just like, if you touch a hot burner on the stove you'll be burned. You can't change the fact that sin requires atonement.
But the sacrifice of Christ did not forgive all sin. His sacrifice offers forgiveness for those who accept him as their sacrifice. For those who do not, they are still responsible for the consequences of their sin.
If God just forgave us all? Then what? What about those who do not want to be forgiven? They do not want to believe in God? Are they forgiven too? What happens then..we sin again and God forgives us again and again?
When you live in an ordered world, then the order must be followed. Sin is death and requires a sacrifice for atonement. It is the necessary reaction to the action of sin.

Jesus took the punishment for all peoples sin, yes, it was brutal and horrifying but it was also very beautiful and loving.
God cannot lie and He promises us that sin brings about "Death" and death can be spritually and/or physically.
God needed a physical body to pay for "All" our sin (spiritually and physically) He already had the spiritual body but took on flesh so He could atone for all our sin. Christ died to show us how much He loves us, the Creator suffers and dies at the hands of His creation. God suffered His own wrath towards our rebellion and sin and took it upon Himself.
This is a gracious God pouring out His love on all humanity.
God wanted to give us a infinite reminder of His love for us and He did so by the scars on the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. God wanted to show His love for us all and He chose the greatest way of doing so. He even tells us that "There is no greater love than that of laying down your life for another."
In order for God to show His love for us all, He had to lay down His life, willfully. Because He is God, He also raised Himself back to life. While the crucifixion was brutal, it was actually the most beautiful thing to ever happen on this earth.

Because without the shedding of blood, there is no remission or forgiveness of sin. Throughout the old testament, there are several stories of people offering sacrifices to God, animal sacrifices, for the forgiveness of sins. But people kept on sinning, so God decided that he would send His Son to shed his blood on the cross, to pay the price for our sins, to offer himself as a sacrifice once and for all. God offered to die for his creation, rather than having his creation die for him.
