I don't *think* I'm depressed.. I don't feel sad or anything, really. More like I just don't care that much about anything. I feel no motivation to do anything really except sit around and browse the net like a total lazy bum.

What's up with that?

To clarify, I am usually not like this. I generally like to stay busy and am very social.

It doesn't always have to be a sign of depression. If you're chronically depressed or have ups and downs - it could be a sign that your mood isn't all that dandy.
I mean - maybe you just feel like taking it easy and want a break?
I don't think you should immediately chalk it up to depression.. you can usually determine if it is by accounting for other things going on.. I mean if you're groggy, anti-social, don't feel like getting out of your PJs or leaving the house and are just overall BLAH - and you just got dumped, clearly, it's probably attributable to some mild depression.
If you're just "having one of those days" where you feel like lying around in PJs, watching movies, eating chocolate, etc., maybe your body is just exhausted and you need a break :)
Depression has such a negative connotation, and people become fearful of the word or dislike discussing it as a result because if you tell someone you suffer from depression (or anxiety, in my case) - they usually "associate" something with that.. whether it's "oh, so you're crazy"; or they just begin to treat you differently.
So.. I guess it seems normal that most people thus don't want to think or say they suffer from depression.

The best way to not be a lazy bum is to actually do something. You have to limit the number of hours you go on the net. Motivation comes from a desire to accomplish something. Maybe you haven't given yourself any goals recently. Get out and get moving, and you will find you will want to spend less time on the computer. It takes a few days, but it happens relatively quickly once you actuallys start getting busy and finding new things to do.

Yes lack of motivation can be one of the signs of classical depression. You should check with your doctors to see what they think, it might make sense to start some kind of threapy to find out why you no longer feel motivated to do what you should be doing.
