why did so many people not wanna fly after nine-eleven?....?

.....i mean where is the logic there? why weren't they just continuing their flying habitudes like they did before nine-eleven? where is the difference by flying now in 2007 more than ever than flying directly after this horrible day? for me it's non-sense.

I'm sure it was/is the fear of another incident like 9/11. I'm scared of flying under the best of circumstances. With the added risk (real or imagined) it makes it that much harder.

I haven't been on many empty aircraft in the last six years. Every one has been packed to the gills. I think it's all airline BS intended to justify poor service, expensive flights and handouts from the government.

Why don't people want to fly? Because they are spineless and they give the terrorists exactly what they want. Look at the English. The day after they were bombed on the underground they turned up just like normal and said "we aren't changing what we do for a bunch of bloody rag heads". Good for them! That's how we should have handled it too. All this crying and moaning just gives Osama what he wants. Screw him and his camel jockey friends!

After 9/11, heightened security and the threat of terrorism ( that combo is an oxymoron by the way) kept travelers scared.

because now, there is more security with the Department of Homeland Security and TSA(Transportation Security Administration) in place to prevent another disaster of that which was 9/11.
