God promises to never leave us nor forsake us. He promises eternal life for those who accept Christ as their Savior. He promises abundant life. He promises that we can do all things through Christ. He promises to put His Spirit inside of us, and teach us and guide us for all of our days. He promises that nothing can ever separate us from Him. He promises to wipe away all our tears, and to make all things new. There are so many promises in the word of God, its an awesome thing!

This song ("Promises, Promises" by Naked Eyes), although written about human relationships, sums up what happened to me when I asked the Biblical [G]od for help with the most important thing in my life:
Never had a doubt in the beginning
Never a doubt
Trusted you true in the beginning
I loved you right through
......
You made me promises, promises
Knowing I'd believe
Promises, promises
You knew you'd never keep
Second time around, I'm still believing
The words that you said
You said you'd always be here
And love forever still repeats in my head
You can't finish what you start
If this is love it breaks my heart
You made me promises, promises
You knew you'd never keep
Promises, promises
Why do I believe?

Here is one that I like.
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 Of this man's aseed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
Doesn't this apply our lives as well? I say yes!

Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Psalms 1:1-6 ”Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish”
Matthew 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
John 14:2-3 “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”
1 Thessalonians 5:9 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”
There are many, many more, but it would take hours to write them all.
Here are to of my favorites
Psalms 37:4 “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Proverbs 11:21 "Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered."
How wonderful our God is, His unconditional love has saved us from the burning pits of hell, which we so rightfully deserve. Because of His great love He has paid the price so that we can be free, and his miraculous Son Jesus still continues to make intercession for us this very day. Praise God Almighty!
