God loves and blesses wicked people everyday and they still deny him. The sun shines on the just and the unjust. But then again there is Romans 3:23 - so I'm not any better than people who persecute me now am I? Yeah - you gotta love and bless. But it takes supernatural forgiveness and grace. I had a friend who I allowed borrow my debit card when I went in the military and I told her to take $500 because she was moving and in a bind. She almost emptied my account by taking more like $1500. When I graduated bootcamp I had a decision to make. Would I hate her forever and no longer be her friend because of the $1500? She said she was sorry and knew she made a mistake. So I prayed and forgave her and just dropped it like it never happened. She fought me on wanting to pay it back a little at a time and I refused to take it. I told her to forget it. It was harder for her than it was for me! Now, we've been friends for more than 25 years. That's one small example. But Christians around the world are persecuted everyday being beaten and imprisoned and yet they love all the more. That's the amazing thing about faith. The more someone tries to destroy it - the more you love. If as a believer you want to find out what this means - become a missionary.

Persecution can be a blessing.

"Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

I do not enjoy persecution nor would I pray for it, but when it is for Christ I know that I am being obedient to his commands.

We are told to WARN THEM..... ALSO!

(Ezekiel 3:18-to-21) When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you do not give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked one shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.

(Eze 3:19) Yet if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

(Eze 3:20) And when the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and when I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

(Eze 3:21) But if you warn the righteous so that the righteous does not sin, and if he does not sin, he shall surely live because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul.

AND...... TO TELL THEM...... GOD'S COMMAND.....!

(Acts 17:30-31) Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

(Acts 17:31) because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by a Man whom He appointed, having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead.

AND..... TO.........

(Jude 1:3-4) Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you = = to contend earnestly = = for the faith once delivered to the saints.

(Jude 1:4) For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of our God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's called turning the other cheek. Plus, if it's not true, why get upset about it. People have lies spread about them all of the time. It's publicity, negative or not, it keeps you popular.
