My God or Goddess would not require me to let go of the rope to "prove" that I trust them. Therefore it would not happen. I would probably climb up the rope. And if I was unable to I am sure my God and Goddess would summon the strength inside me to climb up. They are great, loving beings after all.

It is highly unlikely that I would survive if I continued to hold the rope ..... so if there was no chance I would be saved, I guess I would have no choice but to let go ....
right .... ??

I'd say, "stop farking around and help me up already". Either that or I'd just climb back up the rope.
For all I know it's some sick bastard with a megaphone trying to get me to let go of the rope so I fall to my death.
