I filed a police report against someone for trying to run me over with her car (she saw me out with my ex and she's fatally attracted to him). She found out I filed the report and has now told her lawyer that I falsely accused her, that I am a drug dealer (and I am certainly not, but she uses drugs) and she says her lawyer is going to write my boss (who is an attorney!) and tell him that I deal drugs, etc. I don't know whether to tell my boss, to go to the police again, or what to do? Help! I know, I know, this is a mess!

I am afraid to tell my boss because this crazy lady has terrorized me these past few months and has done everything she can to make me lose my job. My employer has had to give me my pay ahead of time just so I could move overnight to a safe place. He has also had to endure her calling me at work all day long.

If your caught lying in court its called perjury and yes its illegal
slander is also illegal so i don't think any attorney would do anything like that .If your getting your info from her i would disregard anything she says.

The drug war is a failure, and your situation is a prime example. It's like a witch hunt. All you need to do is say someone is a 'druggie' and use the power of the accusation to intimidate you. You may need a lawyer and file a suit to stop the harassment.

Your boss is a lawyer, so take advantage of that. Talk to him/her immediately. Establish that you do not take or deal drugs.

Yes, it is illegal to file a false police report.

bearing false witness is a crime. swearing out a false police report is also.

you might ask your boss for advice about how to handle this BEFORE she contacts him. It'll set him up for her.

Talk to your boss up front. He should appreciate the heads up information, rather than hearing it from her and having that accuasation planted in his head. Besides, who better to answer your question!
