I know someone who is AWOL from the Army. He had just completed basic training and AIT. Is there a reward for turning him in and how would I do it?

and how do I do it. I didn't ask for your opinions or approval ! I asked a question that deserves an intelligent answer. I don't happen to like the guy either - if that's anyone's concern. And yes - I do like money - so if you think that's bad - you can kiss my butt.

There is no reward or at least I have never heard of one. If you wish to turn them in you can contact your local police.

Added: Destrier, I agree with you but the idea that money is the only reason for anything seems to be the norm. Honor, Duty, Patriotism, Concern, Ethics, and many others now seem to be considered either silly or offensive. Sad indeed.

Turn him in and tell him to look forward to prison for the rest of his life because he betrayed his promise to his country. Pus*y... Shouldn't have swore to something he couldn't withstand.

Your a POS for wanting to turn him in...and he's a POS for going awol.

He is eventually going to get caught without your help.

And no, you don't get any money for it.....

Don't think there are rewards for it. You could call the local police and they will come get him or contact your local recruiting station. Just make sure he is AWOL.

What a sad state of moral principles.

Reward?

The young man needs to be advised to go back to his unit.

Not someone wanting to profit from his bad choice.

Money, money, money. Why does it matter? Do something because it is the right thing to do, not because of the money.

no. HOWEVER., if you know where he is and lie about that to the military you can be held responsible and can get into trouble for harboring a fugitive.
