2 days ago my dog was bit on the nose by another dog. My dog was vaccinated for rabies (her last vaccination was 10 days ago b/c I just adopted her). She is acting weird today. Didn't wake up at her normal time to go out for her walk. I woke her up myself. She was walking very slowly. She did go to the bathroom (1 &2). She drank a lot of water when she woke up but she wont eat anything. Now she is laying around not moving much. Today is the first day she has been acting this way since I got her and she NEVER refuses food. Please any insight you have on this would be helpful.

Sorry I had another question out there but I should have combined the two of them. I adopted her 10 days ago, she must have recently had puppies b/c her nipples are hanging really low and that is what the shelter told me. She was spayed right before I adopted her and she will have her stitches out by a vet next week. I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot but I am just a worried pet owner that would rather be safe than sorry.

I took my dog to an emergency vet and I'm glad I did. My dog is now in emergency surgery. She had complication with her spay operation and was bleeding internally. She had to get a blood transfusion and like I said is now in surgery. I can only pray that she makes it through okay.

Get that dog to a vet now. They will take you before your appointment if it is an emergency. And this isn't a good sign. Go now.

You sound like an excellent, normal, worried new mom!!! Your baby is probably just having a bad day today!! Maybe she just had a lot of fun yesterday, and she is just worn out a little today!! She is resting up today, so she can have fun tomorrow, when you two are done at the vet.!! Just rest with her, she will enjoy the snuggle time!!!! You don't need to go to the emergency vet., just keep your appointment for tomorrow, it will be fine!! I am 99.9% sure she does not have rabies!! You are a great pet owner, Thank you so much for adopting, it helps the pet population, and you have certainly done your part!!!! Good Luck, to you and your new babe!!!!!!

You did not mention, in the similar question you asked right before this one, that your dog was bitten by another dog. Your dog needs to be seen by a vet, diagnosed and treated. There is nothing we can do here. Only a vet can help her! If it has been 2 days, she should have been seen by a vet already! Please don't wait any longer! She's been in pain 2 days too long already!

More info is needed here. Did the bite break the skin? Does it look bad? Could it possibly be infected? Most dog bites that break the skin and get into flesh, especially the puncture kind, get infected. If that is the case, your dog could be drinking alot of water because of the infection. These things need antibiotics to get better, so if this is your scenario, I would take the dog to the vet.

She probably isn't eating because a bite on the nose will make the whole area sore. And it's very close to the mouth, so it may be painful to chew.
She needs to be seen by a vet. If you appointment is not today, tell them it is an emergency and take her in anyway.

Not likely it is rabies but the bite could be getting infected.
I would say some antibiotics would be a good call for the vet to give her. How does the wound look. Any oozing or is it scabbing?

Put her in the car and TAKE her to a vets office. if you walk in with an emergency they WILL take you!! (at least here they do!)
I would also suggest contacting animal control to report this issue about the other dog. Save anyone else from having the same problem... ESPECIALLY if it is found out that your dog is SICK from the bite!!

Dogs are very sensitive to a lot of things....I feel she is suffering from trauma. I feel so badly for her. Remember how your dog looks when you have to scold her...those sad eyes kinda like that but 100 times worse. A thought is the bite might be worse than you might think she maybe in a lot of pain and of course she is so afraid. Glad you are taking her to the vet....Best to the both of you

It sounds like she could just be sore - it takes about 2 days for muscles to get full of lactic acid and hurt.
Her rabies is up to date so you don't need to worry about that.
But, since she's not eating, I would do a walk-in at the vet office, it's not worth being so worried.

She may have been bitten in other places on her body besides just her nose. She sounds like she is sore and painful. Bites can quickly become nasty abscesses, so hopefully you are getting her into the vets today for treatment.
