All nuts have fat in them, but it's Unsaturated fat, it's the good kind. You need it for healthy skin and hair, and for the rest of your organs to work properly. If you're watching your fat intake, cut fat from red meats, and go for lean protiens like fish and chicken. The omega-3 Fatty acids found in fish are essential for weight loss and for healthy muscle tissue. It is one of the few things our body needs that it doesn't make naturally.... some nuts have it as well. So, eat up all the nuts you want!! :)

Most nuts have quite a bit of fat, but they are good fats. I believe almonds are the healthiest as far as nutrient and calorie content (and it doesn't hurt to throw a FEW milk chocolate chips in with them, either).

Nuts are all naturally high in fat, so it's a question of which ones are high in healthy fat, such as monounsaturated fat. If you look at this chart,

http://www.dietobio.com/dossiers/en/nuts/fats.html

you'll see that some nuts ar higher in overall fat content than others, but hazelnuts have the highest ratio of monounsaturated fat to other fats.

Nuts are not low in fat, but nutritionally speaking, you are getting the most bang for your buck. Almonds and walnuts (especially the black variety) are a healthy addition to your diet.

I would pretty much agree with most of the answer, and I did give them a thumbs up. Almonds, and Walmarts are by far the best. As with most things, everything in moderation of course.

Almonds are supposed to be good for your heart and lower in fat than a lot of nuts, i.e. Macadamia for example. You can get more information here:

Almonds, Roasted ones are the best tasting, and still good for you. A lot of people, like me, don't like just plain ole' almonds. Someone on here said cashews, they taste yummy but very high in sodium and salt.
