First, the Old Testament is different from the Torah.
Second, God made a new covenant with mankind through Jesus Christ, so unless someone works really hard at earning a ticket to eternal damnation, everyone gets an equal chance at going to heaven, yes, even atheists. You should not be so quick to judge others, you do not know what demons they are battling on a daily basis.

You are confusing a true believer with what the world calls Christians. Lots of people say " I am a Christian" but don't even begin to understand what that means. A true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, gives because from the heart there is a need for them to give. Because of what Christ has done for them, they have a servants heart. Can an Atheist be saved? Well my answer is that anyone that the Lord chooses to call upon, who in turn calls upon the Lord Jesus Christ and believes in his heart that He has come, lived, and died for the remission of sins, and confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord can be saved. Do I think that an Atheist will do that. Well by the very definition of Atheist he can not. If the Lord comes to a person and reviles himself to that person and changes his life, I don't care what that person has done or said they can be saved. Then is when the heart of that person truly wants from the heart to help the needy, and visit the sick and those in prison. But I proclaim to you that there are those who are in a spiritual prison who need a visit and I am trying by writing this to fill that need. Hey I'm here Let me tell you about my friend, my Lord, my King, my Redeemer. The King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords the only begotten Son of the Father, the Great I Am. And about an atheist giving to the needy, that's great, God placed a need in every heart to want to help those who are in need, but he or she will never have a servants heart. God bless those who believe in his Son, and enlighten those who don't

your reasoning is off base here. By sterotyping christians and atheists here you are assuming they are all sincere in their motives. The bible says some that are first will be last and some that are last will be first. But Jesus said no one comes to the father except through Me. You cannot get into heaven because of your works. It is through a relationship with Jesus that you get into heaven. Finally if an atheist believes Matthew 25 he is not a true atheist because Matthew 25 is the Word of God which is God. John 1:1

Atheist can only be saved if they except Jesus as their savior. It is not based on works. So, no matter how many works you do doesn't make any difference if you haven't received Christ in your life.
If you were to attend a type of church that preaches about money often then you are going to the wrong church. These kinds of churches give Christians a bad name and cause people to say"I don't want to be one if they are like that".

Your initial question is one thing, your details are a different question lol.
Will some be saved and others not? The Bible says yes:
"Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? and in Your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity."*
However, to compare tithing to giving to the needy is a whole different thing. We tithe because it is commanded. We give to charity and help the needy for the same reason atheists do. We do not expect reward, we do it to help, just like atheists. You are comparing apples to oranges.

some people fall under the athies category because they dont know the LAW (the bible) some people fall under the christan catergory because they read or know the LAW
if you know the Law you are bound by it and held accountable to it
If you dont know the Law there is STILL instilled in you at birth a concience of right and wrong and you will be bound by that ligh inside of you because you dont know the Law
over the years people have done some bad things in the name of Christianity and those perversion version of Christian are doomed even the modern ones
But one thing God says about doind somehting when you set yu hand to do something do it with all of your heart
Therefore God would have more compassion on a full fledged ATHIEST than he would on a Christinan who straddled the fence!!!!
However this does not lessen than fact the Jesus is the only way to Heaven if we have him inside of us but dont really know how to call Him we know ther is a Greater Than us that Rescues!!!

Atheists will be saved IF they accept Christ before their death. It's not about money, nor tithing. I don't tithe, refuse to for my own reasons, but I do give. I also give to many charaties, but that isn't gonna get me or anyone else into heaven. If anyone gives for any reason other than to help others, then their giving is useless. God can see thru "ulterior motives".

God will not judge by what people call themselves on the outside, but rather by the thoughts and intents of the heart.
So if there is someone who calls himself an atheist, but deep down he is constantly searching for God and cries out to Him for salvation. God will save him on that day. However, such a light will never be contained, and Jesus said that if you deny Me before man, I will deny you before the Father. So, in no way could you then consider yourself an atheist. Doing so would deny the Father who saved you.
On the other side of the coin, there are MANY self-ascribed "Christians" who only use the term for power, gain, or self-righteousness that will not enter in because their heart is corrupt. They just knew how to whitewash it into looking good and pure. Good acting will not convince God on that day.
Now, as to good works, do NOT confuse that with salvation. Those are two vastly different things. Works are an evidence, not a means to an end. If it were works that gained salvation, how would you ever know there were enough? Who would set the arbitrary line? Would you ever feel secure in your walk?
Salvation via works is an absolutely false concept. How will you EVER know that you have done enough good, or if it will balance out the bad?
The truth is, before you accept Jesus as Savior, none of your good deeds are taken in to account, only the sin you have committed in violation to the law. After you accept Jesus as your Savior, your sins are deleted from the record and only the good you do in the Spirit remains. (1 Cor. 3)
You cannot buy your way into heaven with tithes, keeping of traditions or rules, rituals, singing in the choir or good deeds. THAT is why Jesus had to come and die in our place.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began

God is not bound by the rules He established for humanity.
That is why I personally can not judge the interior reasons for others actions.
However, I can discern the actions of the world around me regarding right or wrong actions, but not the interior heart of human beings or God for that matter.

No because it is not through doing good we are saved but by faith in Christ.
All true Christians will be saved and only all true Christians because Jesus said that He was the ONLY way to God.
