Absolutely. I think we need to ultimately ask the question, who defines morality, us or God?

Of course! That's why I don't believe in moral absolutes. After all, you just have to think about it for a little while to see that moral absolutes are vastly different for different people, which instantly turns them into moral relatives rather than absolutes. :)
