Religion, the ones I believe you are referring to, were organized thousands of years ago, and have been rooted in tradition. Now, if you look around, you can see that religion has been updated, in a manner where different sects form and go by their own rules. There are many sects to Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc. Some are more traditional, some are more modern, some are strict, some are lenient. For some, the traditions, and upkeep of them, are a way of showing respect for ancestors and keeping true to the faith. Some feel that modern times call for modern restructure. It is the use of these very powerful influences as a means to abuse and swindle people that has become out of control. It is very sad when tragedies occur. There is a documentary on the History Channel about people like that. You should check it out.

Are you kidding? Religion has changed and it's not always for the good, which is why kids are so confused! God never changes and His word will stand forever. Your faith in God is what is not suppose to change! Also, I know that churches have changed, when I was a girl it was all stiff and quiet and doom and gloom. Now it has bands, and praise music, people clapping and praising God, with a message of hope. It's great. Maybe you should try visiting some new churches.

Religion is timeless. The stories don't change, just because young people don't have the attention span to appreciate them. It's not about your entertainment. This is something I try to get across to my kids when they complain that church is boring. By the way, churches do use technology. Most churches have websites, and I'm sure you can find pod-casts of sermons.

Gods word is everlasting. the young people find it 'boring' just as they find everything boring, due to the fact that 99% are spoiled rotten brats, including my own.
