That is an interesting question as many religions could be defined as such. All religions could be classified as cults, as the colloquial word "cult" is very loosely defined for anything from religious movements to pyramid schemes. I would not choose to do so, however, as cult generally has a negative connotation and usually implies fanatical devotion rather than open contemplation of the unexplanable, as we see in a number of modern religions.

No....some can become a cult..but they use God as a excuse for bad actions. I believe religion is man made...not the word of God..but religion...some have said it was made to control humans. I am unsure..I believe in God...but do not find any one religious denomination that I totally agree with all the beliefs..so I do my best to live a life I pray will please God..by being caring..nonjudmental..giving..loving..etc.

i believe that a cult consists of people believing in an object person spirit etc. they say it ops to groups of peope having unorthodox views or beliefs. but who decides what is unorthudox? so yea religion is a cult. doesn't matter the size of a group cause a group of people consists of more than 2 people.

Definition of cult is:

1) the distinctive ritual of its devotion to a god or a person
2) isolation from the surrounding "evil" culture
3) a charismatic leader

So in some ways, yes.

I think people consider a cult bad. Therefore if you believe in it it is not a cult.

No, catholic, jewish, and many other religions were created (in my beleif) to instill morals early on in mankind. Who knows if murder would be illegal these days if there was no religion in the past. Scientology is a cult though.

Never thought of it that way, maybe every thing that has a leader and following is a cult.....................
Getting back to the question though, Since Christ is the leader and the Supreme..............I AM IN for the journey.
