How would I go about this with the insurance company. They're sending out an estimator to look at the damage and was told they issue a check based on the assessed damage. Could I cash the insurance check and do my own repairs. I don't care about the minor cosmetic stuff and I can fix mechanical myself.

It does have a lien on it thru chase bank. It appears that most of the damage is cosmetic, but the AC condenser and radiator got pushed in a bit. I can fix that and don't really care about a scuffed bumper and partially broken grill.

Sure you can. You just have to get hte lender to agree to it, as they are parial owner of the car until it's paid off - and their name will be on the check, too.

If their is lien holder the insurance company will not hand you a check since you do not technically own the vehicle. They would issue a check to you AND a collision repair facility if you have chosen one. If not, they will wait until you do choose one and then make the check for the original estimate amount out to you and the shop. The shop would then have you endorse the check once the repairs are complete.
Also note that animal caused damage is considered to be a comprehensive loss and normally does not affect your rates. You would only be responsible for your comprehensive deductible which is normally lower than your collision deductible.

that's no longer a life like question. in case you have time to react, then you fairly've time to start to stay away from the animal and, greater substantial, the deer has time and have faith me.. they're lots swifter then you fairly. So.. the respond is to prepare the brakes AND the horn, and attempt to bypass to the rear of the animal (in case you won't be in a position to brake and steer on an analogous time then it particularly is an entire diverse question approximately using skills).. and purchase the deer some time to circulate.. if he/she does no longer, then you fairly will, a minimum of, cut back the impact and consequently the wear, and in keeping with threat take the animal to the edge of the vehicle fairly of around the hood. answer B is a certain loss for the two you and the deer and answer C is unbelievable.. till you're using a form of 0 to 60 in a million/2 a heartbeat fashions, your vehicle won't extraordinarily advance up in the three to 5 seconds you've till now impact. If all else fails, you will a minimum of have venison for some weeks. .

I agree with southern. As long as you don't mind there not being any kind of warranty go for it. If you want to be above board and honest just make sure you let the agent know that there is still a little bit of rough spot in the repair work if there is some. They just don't want to have to pay prior damage they've already paid for.

Most insurance companies will issue you a check unless the vehicle still has a leinholder. Your choice as to how the vehicle gets repaired.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TELL THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT YOU WILL BE DOING THE WORK YOURSELF AND YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS.
WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE IT TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY IF POSSIBLE AND LET THEM SEE IT AS WELL AS HAVING THEM TAKE PICTURES OF IT TO PUT IN YOUR FILE JUST IN CASE SOMETHING WAS TO COME UP AT A LATER DATE.
GOOD LUCK
