OMG Why on earth do people feel the need to do stupid things, like this? It reminds of a time a friend of mine did something like that.

We went out shooting guns. I had my Ruger "Old Model" Single Six and my Magnum Research "Baby" Desert Eagle .40S&W. My buddy had his Ruger Mark III 22/45 22LR and Taurus .357 revolver. My buddy thought of a "brillant" idea....He put a .38 bullet in the .357 and shot a steel wheel, that was about 15 feet away from us. The shrapnel from the bullett recashayed back at us. Hitting me three times, two in the neck and one in the belly. Shrapnel got my buddy once, on the left side of his head. The shrapnel did draw blood on me, but not bad. After seeing that we were both gonna live. I was mad as hell at my buddy for his actions. One or both of us could have been killed. After that day, if he wants to go shooting with me....He must follow my rules and for myself....Whenever he shoots, I stay on the other side of the truck.....So long he isn't shooting toward it.

At last!!! There have been times when I have been tempted to do just that, but I have wavered and not done so. Anybody who has worked on vehicles knows the feeling; I find it is better to just quit and come back to the problem the next day; otherwise you too can have an article written about you.

My GOD hasn't he ever heard of a tire iron and a 6 ft. cheater? Or even a Dremil and a abrasive disk. That man should obviously not be allowed to drive let alone own a gun.

Yeah, that's nuts.
The article said no drugs or alcohol were involved.
I wonder if the poor old guy was suffering from some kind of dementia or mental deficiency?
Doesn't sound too rational to me.

Someone needs to take away his tools, I mean guns, if he intends to open up a repair shop or he may end up going with the big wrench next time.

You can use impacts to loosen stubborn nuts and bolts. I don't think he made the best call on which tool to use for the project.
