Are you talking about burn-in? Old "pong" games on a TV with the contrast and brightness turned up to 100 could get a burned-in image. Plasma TV's in bars locked into ESPN for 18 hours per day get the ESPN logo burned in.

All you have to do is turn down the brightness & contrast to 'normal' levels and dont play the exact same game for 100+ hours and you should be fine.
