for the past week and a bit i have had a constant headache, it is always there but sometimes i hardly notice it.

i posted a question about 2 weeks ago saying i had swollen habds feet and face.

i went to the doctors the next day and was asked to come back in a few days for them to re check my blood pressure.

that was a week ago yesterday (monday), i was then sent to the hospital as my bp was up a bit from the few days before.

i had blood tests done and was put on the monitor for a bit.

results came back fine and i was sent home again.

this weekend my feet got really swollen and still have been having the headaches, i also have got a really sore throat and have nearly lost my voice.

went to the midwife yesterday and bp was fine no protein in my urine, but still slightly swollen feet and hands and headaches still.

she said to take some paracetomol and see what happens. to phone the hospital if still there after.

Phoned up the hospital and wxplained every thing and they said i am prob having the headaches because of the sore throat.

now today i have been having headaches and taken paracetomol but they are still here.

i do feel the baby moving,

so my question i guess is

how long do i wait before phoning or going to the hospital for them to check me out?

to be safe and not sorry that i left it!

i am 38 + weeks, so not long to go,

as its my first i dont know what the norms are and dont want to over react.

They were obviously concerned about pre-eclampsia. Did they also check your reflexes? Women that are experiencing this problem will have overly sensitive reflexes. I dont' think there is anything wrong with having them check you again. It's not unusual for your feet to swell this late in the game, but your face and hands are a different story. If you are already 38+ weeks, they could go ahead and induce you and everything would be fine. Call them back and see if they can't check your blood pressure and all of that again. It will make you feel better.

Did they do an ultrasound to check on the baby?

Its possible theyre stress headaches from the water and weight of pregnancy. You really should be watched because of the swelling and the BP that was high.

I would go back and ask them to check the baby.
