What is the very best cardio exercise to do when you are trying to burn the most amount of fat? Is it running? And if you have had an injury, ( such as a knee injury) what is a good substitute for it when you do not like to run, or you can't run much?

i personally think the elliptical machine is the greatest thing alive, and enjoy it a million times more than the treadmill. It works out your whole body and your arms as well. i personally have never had a knee injury but a friend of mine has and he used the rowing machine which they say is amazing for you and works litterally every muscle in your body... and he lost a crazy amoutn of weight from doing it 45 minutes every single day over a course of 3 monthes. its alot easier on your legs your doing most of the work with your upper body. give it a try :) ... hope your knee feels better!!

I have had both knees done so I know where you are coming from. The best way to burn the most amount of fat is to have a caloric deficit and any kind of exercise that either promotes muscle growth and/or cardio. If that means biking for you, then that is what it is. Rowing machine? Stair climber...anything you find fun will work.

i would recommend elliptical incase you have an injury....but if is also painful for you, u might want to try using the rowing machine....u might not burn as much calories in the same amount of time as running / elliptical, but it is a good alternative

I hate running, hate it!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the elliptical trainer though. Unlike running outdoors, or using a treadmill indoors, the elliptical trainer doesn't involve any pounding of the joints. Trust me, you can work up a really good sweat on the elliptical.

It varies depending on fat buildup regions. if there are jelly rolls involved, do some lower ab situps, it actually seems to go there. facial fat can be removed (usually instantly) by doing head rolls on the floor, pillow usually required.
