I really love God, and I thank Him for the Son and the Holy Spirit. I mean The spirit guides me throughout day. Im trying to go to another level with God. But when I go to church and its a time when i feel like dancing or running. i get a lil embarrased. I feel unworthy for any blessings if i dont praise him for it. I know he will forgive me and work with me. But i just want to hear other people testimony with problems like these.

I'm the same way sometimes. But just keep in mind that you are there for Him and no one else. Try your hardest to forget the people around you and focus completely on Him. In time it will get easier and that feeling of is someone watching me will go away, you wont care because you know you are giving glory to the One who matters.

OK then, no problems, give praise to him in private. Do you know that scripture that says something like there being nothing that men do in private that doesn't come out in public in the end? Give it time, don't force.

But why is it that Christians make such a big thing out of praise, anyway? They've had it preached-in for so long now that that's all they can think about as regards getting to 'another level'.

Forget about all this 'another level', just seek him humbly and determine that, whatever he says, you will do. You will believe his word, not just shout about it.

This is a little bit of 'doggerel' verse which came to me years ago which I think still might relate to where you are now

'Charismania'

There's plenty o' noisin' and plenty o' movin'
Rearrangin' an' changin' - but where is it goin ?
Don't think I'm complainin' - but where are we aimin ?
Are we sure we're readin' the Holy Ghost leadin ?

We're so 'feared o' ceasin', so tryin' to pleas'n
An' seekin' to serv'n with all of our bein'
But it's not the doin' by which we can reach'n
It's just the standin' an' waitin' before'n.

O' where is the endin' of all this pretendin' ?
It's not what we giv'n, or send'n, or lend'n
There's no way o' buyin' what he done by dyin'
No way o' repayin' - so give over tryin'.

In all o' the stirrin', is it him we're hearin' ?
Are we sure we're listenin' to what he is whisperin' ?
When we get to seein'
It's not DOIN' but BEIN'
Then we'll be a-restin' in more o' the blessin'.

Rest, enjoy, appreciate God and cease to strive. Walk with him and share each moment with him, for he is your Lord and each day will reveal to you increasingly how good he is.

i am like this too, but God is slowly softening my heart and making me more comfortable. when i am at Church and people are around me, i feel like i'm being watched by others and that holds me back a little. i am starting to lose this feeling though, i just pray about it, and God is helping me. when i am alone in my bedroom, or even in the car, i will crank up some good worship music, sing along, and get really into it. God knows each of us, He knows why we might feel this way. give it time, and don't put too much pressure on yourself. God bless!

Being a Pastor's spouse, i'm able to assert that it's not the perfect place to come back to regain your faith and have confidence in the Lord! the region you will ought to pass is to church to pay attention the be conscious preached and taught,to be with different Christians, who can love and inspire you. God is sweet, each and all the time. I do like your query.....I supply compliment to God via making a track to Him, via loving Him, via living for Him, via going to Him in prayer and praising Him. some thing fairly puzzling ought to have took place 3 years in the past, and that i've got been there too. God is committed, He loves you, and is drawing you decrease back to Him. He is conscious regardless of it is which you went via, He replaced into nonetheless there each and all the time. i'm happy you're listening to Him returned, bear in mind that His techniques are greater than our techniques, and to lean not on your own understand-how. renowned Him in all your techniques and he will make your paths rapidly. Welcome decrease back! enable me understand if i'm able to help in any way!

If you love God, you won't bother about people's opinions of you when you dance and run around. I jump and jump around too. When I don't praise God, I appear gentle and all. But when I praise God, I give the best that I can. Pride causes you to feel embarrassed to praise God. You are not praising for anyone but God. =)

If you take a look at Matthew 10:32-33 it reads:

(32) "Every one therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father Who is in heaven."
(33) But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father Who is in heaven."

Don't be ashamed to stand up, and get excited for Christ, his blessings and the gift of Salvation is something to get excited about. And those that look at you differently may have some inner things to deal w/ themselves. So don't be afraid to stand up and shout and be excited. After all, Psalm 100 states:

(1) Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
(2) Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

God Bless...

Going deeper with God is not showing it outwardly but it is allowing His Word to transform your life spiritually. Prayer and getting the meat of the Word is what brings you to another level. Not sreaming, shouting, running, dancing or any other physical action or emotion.

Sometimes it is hard to be an example for Christ, but you just keep the faith and it will be easier as you go along. Check out www.dagospel.com for the 'word of the day'. We go over topics like this every day.

As you get closer to God; there will be fewer people with you. Which you prefer (God or man's company) presently in this life; that is up to you!
