I live in Canada and buy these from a solely Canadian store, so I'm not sure if you can get them in the states, if that's where you live.
I have tried many over the years, these are the best I've found and even the cheapest, bonus! (from 6 to 10 dollars, depending on ‘sales’, for 90 tablets)
They are; Vital 1
(Brand Name) - Exact
- with green tea extract and chromium
I have used other products with both of these ingredients but they have not worked as well as this one does. Not sure why.
Take one about 1/2 hour before you eat, if possible. I find I don't always remember to take one before I'm famished and want to eat, NOW! *: ) It doesn't seem to matter as much with this product as it does with others. Leave as close to 1/2 hour as you can.
It most definitely curbs your appetite, but more importantly, it revs your metabolism and 'consumes' your bad calorie intake. If you are knowingly going to have a high caloric meal, i.e. lots of carbs, then have another one about 5 minutes before you eat.
Of everything I've tried, they work the best for me. I told someone else about them, and they are working for her too. Make sure you listen to your body. That one lesson will help you greatly. The second you realize the 'twinge' of a full sensation, stop eating. Your body will begin to know what you are doing and it will learn not to hang onto unnecessary calories, thinking it isn't sure when it will get more. Try to eat more often, (smaller meals), to teach your metabolism to 'rev', and, soon, it will know how to stay revved.
To jump-start your weight reduction: 1. NEVER say weight loss, when you lose something, the potential to find it again is always there. I am an extreme proponent of positive thinking. Tell yourself how happy you are to be at your ideal weight for you NOW, for your health and well-being. Envisioning yourself where you want to be is an amazing tool. I can help you further with that - an abundance of information, if you want to contact me at powercenters17@yahoo.ca 2. I have been doing the following since I was a teenager, some moons ago!: For three days eat nothing but apples. I have done it with oranges too, but, you run the risk of citrus 'high' nerves and hot flashes. I don't recommend it. Apples however, are easy, as they; are high in fiber, to keep your system moving; they have a natural sugar, to keep you 'level'; they 'crunch' when you bite them, so you 'know' you are eating something; and best of all, they are an anti-caloric food, which means they 'take' existing calories away. (This is easy to stick to because with any other rigid style 'diet', you still have a variety of foods to choose from, and your mind will automatically want to add the foods it has come to enjoy. Eating only one food, works consciously and subconsciously.) Be sure, on the fourth day, to add protein back into your diet, so as to not confuse your system for too long. For me, and others I have told over the years, you will drop 9 pounds in the three days. Do it once a month, to offset your other wise diet choices throughout the month. It's a great morale booster to drop a substantial amount quickly.
If you are walking alot, that's great. Walk faster and slower, throughout your walk. 'Spurts' of energy work wonders, about 1 minute 'quick', to 15-20 minute 'normal', intervals. Add small weights to your wrists and ankles to improve the cardio aspect. Doing 'weight training' workouts, too, with 'higher' weights is just as powerful as doing a high intensity aerobic exercise, for cardio results, (burning calories. )
I found that watching food combinations is amazingly productive too. Start a meal with a salad, with dressing. While you are eating that, have meat, if you eat meat, cooking along with a veggie. When that is ready to eat, have a carb 'cooking', i.e. potatoes, rice, or pasta. When you finish the meat/veggie portion, the carbs should be ready. After you consume the carb portion of your meal, then you can add a desert. I find I get a punch of chocolate by eating pudding. Jell-O with fruit is great and so is yogurt. Point here is; never combine meat and carbs together, (hamburgers and sandwiches do just that, bad!) or, fruit, (always eat fruit on it's own), never combine carbs with anything else either. 'Salad' and proteins together are fine, i.e. cheese, eggs, etc. Try to wait about 5 minutes between 'courses' to allow the 'previous' food to at least partially get through your system, before adding the next.
Cut out all white foods; sugar, flour, rice, potatoes, etc.
Try not to eat anything made of wheat. It is one of the worse foods for ANYONE. I have a very wise woman in my life that swears wheat causes all sorts of ailments such as allergies, and, will be banned someday, for health reasons.
Drink as much water as your weight, eight glasses is not enough if you carry a substantial weight. Your body is about 80% water, and needs to be replenished, always, for your entire health, skin, cell renewal, organ function, etc.
Do you like tea? If so, I find Triple Leaf Brand Slimming Tea at ‘oriental’ produce stores. It detoxifies your system to rid you of unnecessary and, unhealthy ‘weight’ in your bowels. Make sure you use it as directed, don’t overdo, or you will spend too much time in the bathroom! I combine two different kinds of tea together in one pot to make sure I like the flavour, i.e. one ‘slimming’ and one; berry, orange, lemon, etc.
A bit more about the 'positive thinking' thing I referred to earlier; often holding onto weight stems from other sources. Your mindset must be on the 'straight and narrow' to accomplish ANYTHING you desire. If you do decide to contact me, I will fill you in on how you can change many aspects of your life. It's what I do. Take care, good luck, and, I hope to hear from you!
