If you want speakers and like music generally avoid Bose (poor midrange). You can do much better for the $$ .... and Infinity is one (of many) good choices.
The Bose 901s or 301s (to be fair, are better than most Bose speakers) and would be OK choices if you got them really cheap as used speakers.

I'd agree, the bose speaker systems are far too over rated. Infinity makes a fine speaker.. I also like Altec Lansing. I'm not sure of your budget... So I'd be open minded about brand. Find a good audio video store and look at what they have... I'm not talking best buy, or circuit city, those people rarely know what they are selling.
