If she was spayed, she wouldn't come into season at all, and you wouldn't risk having her ruin your furniture. You can put diapers on them, panties and everything else.. Most of them are able to remove anything you try to get them to wear. The only sure way is spaying.

Unless you have intentions of breeding your female dog (responsibly I hope), I would suggest having her spade. This will not only alleviate the mess, but will be oh so much healthier in the long-run for your pet. In the meantime, there are doggie underwear (aka diapers) to help which are available at most pet stores. My preference is called ScootyPants. You can find them on the internet @ http://www.scootypants.com/
However, as stated above, I would urge you to consider having her spayed for the following reasons:
1. Spaying and neutering helps dogs live longer, healthier lives.
2. Spaying and neutering can eliminate or reduce the incidence of a number of health problems that can be very difficult or expensive to treat.
3. In female dogs, spaying eliminates the possibility of uterine or ovarian cancer and greatly reduces the incidence of mammary tumours, particularly when your dog is spayed before her first estrous (heat) cycle. All these problems are not only fatal but also expensive to treat.
4. An unspayed female with a litter can be very aggressive, even to family members.
5. Unspayed dogs can give rise to dog overpopulation problem, all unwanted and creating a public nuisance.
6. It permanently eliminates great physical pain and stress in female dogs, including complications from a caeserian delivery of pups.
The benefits of spaying your female dog for you and your family are:
1. Spaying makes dogs more affectionate and lovable pets.
Spaying a female dog eliminates her heat cycle, and thereby does not attract unwanted males.
2. Unsterilized animals often exhibit more behaviour and temperamental problems than those who have been spayed or neutered, and you are the one who has to bear it all.
3. Spaying and neutering make dogs less likely to bite.
4. You would definitely not like to bear the expenses of an unwanted litter, leave alone other problems.

Doggy diapers or pads can be picked up from your local pet supply store. Aside from that, you could use an old pair of underwear. I cut a slit down the back and tied it so the tail stuck out, but would not slip off. It looks funny as h&ll, but it works!

Have her spayed.
Put a diaper on her in the mean time.
You cant 'stop' her from dripping unless you have her spayed.
Please have your dog spayed ASAP.

I agree with getting her spayed, and you CAN do it while she's in heat. Unless she's registered and you are a breeder (which you're not or you wouldn't have to ask this question.....) than she needs to be spayed to prevent cancer among other problems.
