Being uninformed and uneducated regarding Karma, the Law of Karma, Fate Karma, and the purpose of life, the typical Christian finds it difficult to rationally discuss the events of life.
Christ, in the Bible, clearly articulates for those who can "see".... the concept of "sowing and reaping". This is simply the Law of Karma. For every action one takes, one will experience the opposite of that action.
Imagine as a soldier in some ancient battle, you sever the limb of some enemy. That is a Karmic Action that, according to the Law of Karma, you deserve to "Know" what the consequences of that action are... thus, in some future time, you will be given the opportunity to "Know" what it is like to have to live without your limb. Karma is about Perfecting the experience of the Soul.
It naturally takes many, many lifetimes to accomplish this Perfection of ones Soul. And that is accomplished by the concept and reality of reincarnation. Christianity is an OK religion, but it does keep those who follow it in the dark relative to the mystical dynamics of Life.
Peace

That little girl isn't undergoing surgery for "mistakenly having eight limbs." She has a conjoined twin that was born without a head and organs, just arms, legs, and a spine.

No, I believe God lets everything happen for a reason. The reason there is so much hurt in the world is because people brought it upon themselves thousands of years ago when we wouldn't follow God's rules. Adam and Eve, for example. Some bad things just happen to good people, but it all goes back to our disobedience.

Why won't God heal amputees? Why didn't God the Father save God the Son from the Cross? Why do people have to die?
These questions can go on and on.

Isn't she the namesake of some Hindu goddess of wealth. Lakshi, maybe-?
Maybe the gods/goddesses are only interested in those who are in their region. I think that means Americans need to start brushing up on their knowledge of Native American religion . Maybe it will help with the droughts and fires.
