Do you mean you prefer to live without a gf because you feel worn out when your gf care of you, help you, appreciate you, understand you, wait for you, make you being a man or help you express your true nature, maybe make you being a fatter, in three words : deeply love you?

Do you know what you talking about?

Unless, you had hard time to date and struggle to learn to understand women, so you prefer to denied that nature and look down upon that beneficial human behavior leading them to better life for years to come...

Salut!

As the Bible would say, ...some are made Eunuchs by man, some by themselves and some by God.

I think the pope has chosen to be celibate. More power to him. I definitely wouldn't date just to be dating. If you find a girl who you want to see a lot, then you date her. You are trying to "win" her heart and make her yours.

The pope isn't hoping to get married someday...

In the most basic sense, people date to find their future spouse. Dating allows us to learn what we really want in life, and with some searching we'll find the person we are meant to be with.

I agree totally. Keeping the human race going is woman's work, and with sperm banks nowadays, dating is not necessary.

Now, from a woman's point of view, what I want to know is, if we can put a man on the moon...why not just put you all there?

(just joking, guys)

Incidentally, there have been married popes. Go to http://atheism.about.com/od/popesandthepapacy/a/trivia.htm

You get the picture.

We are attracted to the opposite sex and want to find 'the one'. If you do not like anyone in particular no one is saying you must date.
Do not compare everyone else to the pope. He chose to be fully devoted to his service to God. Your parents chose to have you-- I think they are happy with that.

He is also sitting on the largest stockpile of gold and riches in the world. Besides, if he were getting some on the side, do you think that bit of news would ever get passed the walls of the vatican?

Some people are called to the single celibate life.

Some people are called to the married life.

The hard part is finding out which life God has planned out for you.

With love in Christ.

Take it from a 50yr. old. Don't worry about it.
You will have many periods of during your life where you will and won't be dating.

Basic message here:

When you are hot, you're hot.
When you are not, you're not.

Just focus on doing what you like to do!
Dating will happen - when it happens!
Good luck.
