NO! NO NO NO! Take your kitten to the vet and get her treated there. If you can't afford it, then you shouldn't have a kitten. Also, DO NOT try to give her OTC people medications b/c they can be toxic and kill your kitty.

I would visit the vet or at least call. My cat used to get URI when he was a kitten. There was some home stuff the vet suggested I do, but I won't tell you what for fear that you or someone else would do it without consulting your vet.

It is well worth the office visit to have your cat looked over. If it is a URI, it is viral and you just need to ride it out. No antibiotic will help, but a visit to the vet should be done.

While your cat is sick, you will want to make sure he is eating and drinking water (especially if you feed dry and not canned food). When cats can't smell their food, they won't eat.

make sure the kitty is eating and drinking and generally acting happy and healthy. If any one of those things is off, then a vet visit is in order. Kittens go down hill VERY quickly and can die if not treated.

If the kitty is just sniffly, you can use saline nose drops to help get rid of some of the congestion.

Well, you should probably get it checked by a vet, especially if young, as kittens are susceptible to bad respiratory infections that start pretty tamely. But to answer your question - I have already made my cat some homemade chicken broth when it looked like he was a little under the weather.

If the kitten is sneezing a lot and has mucous or dried mucous around the nose you need to take him to the vet and see if he needs some amoxcillin.

It could be allergies. Take her to the vet just in case. She might need antibiotics if it's an infection. Home rememdies include: love, warmth, and lots of good food.
