I don't question that they are good and honorable people.
I also think they have the right to believe in whatever they wish and practice any religion that does not involve directly harming others.
In fact, I would fight to defend their right to do so.
But when it comes down to it, I do have a serious problem trusting the judgment of any adult that believes in Santa Claus (or the rough equivalent).
I wouldn't trust them to make important decisions that should be based on rational thinking.
Basically, I trust Christians about as much as I would trust an intelligent and well-behaved 13-year old.

Beliefs are purely a matter of choice and conviction. There isn't a 'sensible' or 'logical' arguement for belief. Faith is a choice.
Yes, I have a lot of respect for people who actually have convictions. It takes some courage, backbone, to stand by one's chosen beliefs. I don't have to like what someone thinks, or agree with them, or choose to hang around and argue with them (if I had all the answers, I wouldn't have the problems I do), but I can still admire someone who has thought about what they believe and goes with it.

It depends on their views and practices on other topics. If they work hard, are trustworthy, friendly, loyal, and so on, I can respect them.
If their whole life revolves around their religion, and they constantly push it onto others, and especially if they use their religion to justify bigotry or as an excuse for their personal failings, then I have no respect for them.
Think about Mother Theresa and Fred Phelps, and you'll get the idea.

I don't judge anybody. Everbody has there own beliefs in what ever they do. Thats what makes us all unique and individuals. Also, your life, does not affect mine so I don't care.

I can respect them if they are good people. I just won't take their opinions very seriously.
