I have never run one before. I jog 2-3 times a week on a treadmill and I can do 1.25 miles in 20 minutes. I would like to know if running a 5K this weekend is totally out of the question. I know it would take longer than an hour but I am not in this for the competition at this point. Thanks!

If there is not a time limit then go for it. You may meet someone you enjoy running with and be surprised at how quickly the 3.1 miles go past. Good luck.

Go for it. Anyone can run a 5k no matter what shape there in. And yo already run 2-3 times a week. So it's not like your a couch potato.

I doubt that it will take you longer than an hour, a quick walking pace and you will finish it in about 55 minutes.

Run it, you'll find it fun, take you family along and make a day out of it.
